Pollo Lounge and Grill — Restaurant in Boston

Accidentally came across this 4.3 establishment and I am surprised why it is high as it is. Below are all the reasons, why I really think you can save your money and go somewhere else if you are craving Latin American fried Chicken:

It’s not fried chicken. See picture. that is not the $16 fried chicken advertised in their menu picture. It’s straight up chicken tenders. And incredibly soggy ones, when I took a bite there and then. I asked the lady who gave me my food to confirm there was no misunderstanding, due to the reason below. She confirmed this is the fried chicken that they sell. I came home and refried them in the air fryer. I might have had better luck with the grilled chicken. Environment and Ambience. I entered the establishment, which had the loudest music, louder than most raves I have been to. I decided then I couldn’t sit here and was going to take my food home. The music also contributed to the negative experience that I had with them since I am not even sure the lady taking my order could hear what I was saying. False advertisement on the fries? They didn’t have fries, they gave me fried plantains. also incredibly soggy. They should be advertised as mashed plantains perhaps. I also order their cheese papusas, which was good so that might be where the 4.3 is coming from.

Typically I read bad reviews, and think oh it’s only one person, but if you scroll below you will notice that other people have had pretty consistent bad experiences. I hope the owners do something about it. For starters, actually give...

I ordered online, when I came to pick up my food there was a long line, but I'm like I ordered online so I should just be able to pick it up from the front. The guy told me I had to get in line, as I'm sitting in line I'm getting frustrated because I already ordered my food and I shouldn't have to wait. So I stepped out of line and when to the person at the register and I'm looking at my food because it has my name on it I'm like why do I have to wait in line with my food is right there. I don't know if there was a communication problem or what but I just wasn't getting through. Got in my car open up the bag seen the plates, that does not look at appealing. I don't understand why the rice and chicken is separate only thing that should have been came separate is the beans. Not to forget to mention I ordered two steak tacos and only receive one. When I went back inside for the second time wasting valuable time from this online order. I told the girl she apologized and tell the guy to prepare me another steak taco. He goes in the back and start preparing. I'm watching him as he's cutting the lettuce and he drops the kitchen knife on the floor. I immediately told them I no longer want this steak taco and I would like a refund. Their owner assist me with getting back my refund for the steak Taco but if I had known better I would have got a refund for everything the food was terrible the chicken was overcooked and dry and the rice was hard. I finally tried this restaurant. Pictures sell and finally a restaurant that does have the same food in the pictures. Yayyy! Delicious delicious. 1st day ordering from Pollo thru Uber eats was Tuesday. DELICIOUS. Half of chix with white rice and beans. Mind you the menu doesn't specify if it was white rice and red beans but just says rice and beans. Even tho the sauce spilled all over the bag and some of my beans was burnt, not a good look seeing how the restaurant just opened, it was STILL DELICIOUS. Chix fingers nice and juicy with the fries I LOVE. Bring it back. Old skool fries simple. 2nd day which was yesterday, little disappointed. This time I didn't get white rice and beans with my chix AND I ordered an extra side of some, instead I received modo. We was hungry and mad. My fries were different. The fries I HATE with extra dough on them if Im saying it correctly. You know, like the fries in most sub shops and burger King. Why different food the 2nd day. Not good. Be consistent please.
