This review is specifically about a receptionist at the Back Bay location. I have always loved this business and think the classes are fantastic, but my interaction with this receptionist was honestly shocking and left me feeling very disrespected.
Last night, after a class, I was cleaning my mat with the provided spray when the lid came off, causing the cleaner to spill everywhere. I went to the front desk and noticed a basket of small towels on the counter. I explained to the receptionist that I had spilled some cleaner and asked if it would be okay to use one of the towels. Instead of responding kindly, she "shhh"ed me and, in a scolding tone, told me she was on the phone. I was taken aback and stood there for a moment, trying to process what had just happened. To me, being "shhh"ed is incredibly rude, and the tone she used after that was even worse. It felt like she was treating me as though I were an annoying child, which I have never experienced before. I've never felt so disrespected in a place I truly enjoy.
It's unfortunate that such a wonderful business has someone representing them at the front desk with such poor customer service. I really hope management addresses this issue and reminds this receptionist of the importance of treating paying members with respect...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was one of the best Down Under locations! Located on the upper level, there 2 spacious studios to practice in, a shower room and bathroom is offered, as well as an adequate seating area. One of the things I really appreciate is space to settle in before and after a class because the waiting areas tend to get crowded. Yes, it is difficult, given spacing anywhere in Boston is very tight and narrow but this studio really does it well. I really enjoyed my class with Abby Keene, she led a beautiful practice and is very knowledgeable about Ashtanga! 10/10, highly recommended, and I see myself taking her class and visiting this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis yoga studio is such a gem in Back Bay. It's bright, full of plants, and seriously cozy in the best way. My favorite class here is hands down Yoga Sculpt. Itās the perfect combo of flow and strength, and I love that it gives me a good sweat without feeling too intense. Plus, the instructors are super encouraging without being over-the-top, which I appreciate. I usually swing by after work, and itās so convenient. I work in the Prudential Center and it is close enough to my office that I can make it there easily, but it still feels like a break from the workday. Honestly, itās become such a nice little ritual in my...
