304 Newbury by Thatch - Back Bay — Hotel in Boston

Cute, clean little place - perfect for one or two people - in a phenomenal location. Right on Newbury near a million food and shopping options and convenient to the T, but also walkable to Fenway or Faneuil Hall, if you have the ambition. Street noise was not especially loud or intrusive. A few nitpicks: the bed was super comfortable but there is no door on the bedroom, which could be a privacy issue depending on who you’re sharing the space with. The sofa bed is NOT so comfy but suffices. There was not a recycling bin so you have to separate your waste, if you care, and there is no silverware basket in the dishwasher, which is a minor nuisance but mostly just a little odd. Stairway (we were two floors up) is steep and narrow and could present a challenge for some. Washer/dryer work great, as does the fridge/freezer. Bathroom is pretty spacious. Host staff is...

Amazing location on Newbury St in Back Bay! We traveled as a family of four, including a 4 and 7 year old and everyone fell in love with both Boston and this unit. I loved the quaintness of the location but also close to the T. Tons of shops/restaurants just steps away. Excellent service from Thatch. We needed an extra blanket for my daughter and the off-site staff was very responsive to my texts. The pullout couch was saggy on one side, would not be ideal for two adults, but then again what pullout couch is. Note that there is no elevator, for anyone with mobility issues. We all loved eating our breakfast and people watching out the bay window as the city slowly came alive each morning. I will definitely be recommending this unit to any friends...

Despite the 5 floors to climb..the entry and up the stairs is well lit.beautiful pictures from local artists hang on each floor.The VIEW from the top and looking out onto Newbury is so WORTH IT!.The location is perfect for shops,great food and transit for getting to those tourist attractions downtown.The space is perfect and we had plenty of linens..and enough coffee for the 4 days there.We walked around the block and went to a Trader Joe's to stock up on snacks after a day out seeing the Freedom Trail..USS Constitution and more.We did have a problem with the mini split units..but very quickly fixed after messaging Thatch.I hope to be able to return to Boston..and Thatch will be...
