I've never leave one star entire of my life and I've NEVER EVER met the most cranky GATEKEEPER like him at the main entrance . I'm college student who is seriously considering to transfer this institute after this semester with 3.7GPA. I've been this place this weekend with my bunch of friends who are attending this college and seems like every students are studying really hard and focusing on to reach their dreams. Let me tell u guys my story. Well, just like this When you go to restaurant to have a dinner, If the restroom is not cleaned up well, u might do not wanna have a dinner there. Now I'd like to tell what I felt at the first visiting there and wt I've experienced. When i get into this college, I got a visitor sticker. I went outside and when I come back to take my stuff he said I can't get in without my friend who is attending this institute. I said okay and waited til my friends come. There is no signal so I couldn't use my phone and I cant even get in and out without electric ID card.
That means, I cant get in out and unable to contact to him(my friend) cuz no signal. I was being stuck and I asked to the police and the gatekeeper guy to let me just take my stuff and get out of this place then. My stuff was just 10 steps from there. They both made sarcastic and gatekeeper said no and my friends finally came and he keeps mumbling and get mad at us for no reason.
After taking my stuff and when I get out of the place, he has my ID card and he grabs it and he didn't get it back to me right away. He was bending my card multiple times and knock it on the table while he suddenly talking thru the phone in front of me. I'm sure I was being polite to him but whenever I see him, he seems like really unstable and being rude. It was weird. Both of them who work there and being rude to visitor. And they are the only ppl who I met. I'm not gonna apply this college cuz I dont even have to know how any other ppl who work there are nice or not cuz even the guys who u will meet everyday as soon as u get into the school r being rude like that, guess how ppl who work...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreItās unfortunate that I have to write this review but I am in hopes of MCPHS revising their admissions process for the Physician Assistant Program. I know that I was not the only student this year that was invited to interview and then closed out of an interview spot and placed on a waiting list. When I contacted MCPHS they told me that I may not get to interview after all as they had accidentally invited too many people to interview and did not have the resources to open up more interview dates even though acceptances are not on a rolling basis. How does a top tier medical university not have the resources to interview all the students they invited? By choosing to interview solely the people that happened to secure spots first, not only are they limiting the potential of their incoming class and proving that they only care about filling the spots for monetary reasons, but they are limiting the future of numerous successful students who worked hard to get an interview invitation. When I asked Jordan Hunt (admissions counselor) to make sense of this she was unable to provide a competent answer besides that the university messed up and the incoming students are the ones facing the repercussions. Iām not writing this for myself, but for the other students who were too timid to speak up or who had chosen this school as their top choice and then got screwed. I truly feel bad for some of the other incoming students who do not have other options and were relying on MCPHS. I am very disappointed. MCPHS either needs to change their interviewing process to rolling acceptances (interviewing the top tier students first and then going down the line) or they need to use this model but be willing to open up more dates in case of overflow. Side note: They informed me that students on the waiting list could be notified up to a day before an interview that a spot had opened up. Do they not take into consideration that everyone doesnāt live near Boston or works full-time? Extremely dissatisfied with this supposedly ātop tierā...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe reason why I choose Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) University is because of the 6-year accelerated pharmacy (PharmD) program. Such a program is not offered in China, where I am from. I think it is a right choice for me, because my experience at MCPHS has been good so far. I learned many useful things in my classes. The professors here are very friendly and patient. I love going to their office hours to ask questions and to have conversations with them. Science classes make up a huge part of in the PharmD curriculum and most of them are not easy, but the professors make these subjects easy to understand and fun. This year I am taking organic chemistry and medical biology (both are very hard classes). The biology professor is very humorous and he always gives us fun scenarios to help us understand theories. My chemistry professor offers excellent examples, which helps me understand the class concepts better and do well on the exams. Although our school is not very big, there are many activities. During the school week, you can always find clubs or the school holding some interesting events! I prefer movie nights, the comedy club and block parties. There are also professional events that are might be helpful in oneās...
