Good selection, especially housewares (vintage teacups and played). Open till 8:00 pm Monday-Saturday, which is later than many other Goodwill stores (they close earlier on Sunday.) Mostly college students and assorted hipster shoppers. Staff is also mostly young and hipster. The tall guy who works there has some cool clothes.
Staff is nice overall, though one of them seemed annoyed with me for buying teacups (fragile, breakable) so late in the day (closing time) because they were running so low on paper to wrap them.
I wasn’t expecting this since I moved to this neighborhood recently from the South End so I had been accustomed to shopping at the store on Harrison Ave. where they never seemed to run out of wrapping paper.
“Well, we’re not Harrison Ave.,” said the cashier.
This is true. Harrison Ave. store is much bigger and has more Theory suits - in addition to having more wrapping paper - but they are also more obnoxious about kicking you out of the store at closing time. Harrison Ave. has more people from the neighborhood (South End/Roxbury) shopping and hardly any hipster college students.

Read moreI normally don’t write google reviews. But my last experience at this goodwill was unpleasant because of some issues with the staff. One woman in particular was very rude to me, my friends, and other customers. We were actually very happily thrifting up until she came over to us to help another costumer and got angry about.... nothing? My friend had opened the door to her dressing room to show us an outfit. The woman go upset about multiple people being in a dressing room- we weren’t in the dressing room- and then walked off in a huff. I replied that we weren’t going into the dressing room, but i don’t know if she heard me. We even heard her speaking to another employee and us and being rude to other customers who were asking questions about how the tags work. Disappointing. She made us uncomfortable and we quickly...
Read moreThe store itself is great, but 9/10 that I try to go I can't because the neighboring club has 90%+ of the parking spaces tow-reserved at all hours whether there's a show or not. You can circle the block of for half an hour and never find a space between the club and the BU police who seemingly have reserved every other space within a 3 block radius. I guess the city of brookline just doesn't want people to be able to patronize goodwill, or raising canes, or el jefes, or the smoke shop, or the bank. Must be nice to be part of the local parking elite. If your one of us peasants, I still recommend the store, just know you likely won't be able to find a spot because the cops and the club have them all reserved for no one in particular at some time in the future, despite them being empty...
