I’m so sorry that WBZ was misinformed about the Arlington police department being equipped to handle mental health issues and or advocate for children’s welfare, as reported on May 12, 2023. I have not once seen the featured officer, John Costa, in my neighborhood and I live in one of the housing complexes in Arlington housing for ten years now. I’ve seen multiple situations go down that had just led to the cops loosing patients quickly and arresting those who truly need the help instead of getting them the help they really need. I’ve witnessed this with my own eyes numerous times. My family has been the target in our Housing community Menotomy Manor of Arlington, shown at least twice in the newscast. My family is dealing with harassment, slander, abuse of power by our own Tenants Association and other management. The constant persecution and invasion of privacy has traumatized my children and greatly affected my mental state. My anxiety is so bad I feel I can’t step out of my own apartment at times, having neighbors surrounding my home making false accusations to dcf and Arlington Police, and harassing my family. I’ve lost years to all of this, and spiraled putting me into a deep depression and stopping me from doing normal every day things, such as work, exercising, being outdoors spending time with my kids. All of this going on in a community has cameras on every corner and even a police headquarters right in the center of the complex. I feel I must say the new direction of the news station is simply poor. It use to be that you felt you could trust the station and the report and now it seems the management has decided to move away from its values and cave to pressure. I feel that CBS 4 Boston has lost its integrity complete and I have now lost faith. For the news anchors that remain I give the 3 starts because they are doing what is in the best for them and their families. I would recommend to them that they look for company with a better value system and move on. CBS Boston does not value you! With the new direction I find my self having to say good buy to WBZ 4 Boston. I have given it a chance over the past several weeks and I just have lost all trust. Courtney Cole has to go. I cannot stand listening to her and her snarkey tone. She does not deliver the news, she talks down to you and when the hands start going I'm done. You insist on using her on the evening news, so I will just go to another channel. You have too many other good reporters that can work the desk. She's on, I change the channel.
