Smith skatepark used to be amazing. The park was extremely well built and the community was close knit; however, as of recently it has been overtaken by kids in the dozens who don't look where they're going, leave their scooters/bikes in the middle of the park and stop in the most inconvenient places when they have numerous other areas to socialize or ponder life. This isn't to discourage kids from coming and having fun and while there are technically no rules to skating, scootering etc. When at a skatepark, people typically understand that there are others there as well and exercise etiquette. Waiting your turn is something typically learned in kindergarten which is much younger than most of the kids not practicing these habits there. I'd like this review to be a call to action to the parents who bring their kids to smith skatepark, although many of you typically don't stick around to witness their behavior. I hope that changes and you do your due dilligence to help make smith park the way...
Read moreBEWARE OF OBLIVIOUS PARENTS of little kids! Entitled parents let their young kids use the pump track as a romper room playground, causing danger for skateboarders and BMX riders. It’s awful. This is the second d time my son was hurt and today we landed at the hospital with a fractured, dislocated elbow because a little kid (approx 6 years old) went the wrong way on the pump track when dozens of skaters were doing their thing. What’s more, after the accident the kid and parent ran away. Thankfully we’ve contacted the cops for the surveillance video. This is no laughing matter. These entitled parents have to take responsibility and keep their precious toddlers off...

A nice rubber ground in most places but has a stone and wood chip center where eventually they will have nice tall trees for some more shade (they are small now). No shade during the day. There are plenty of seating areas and benches. There’s a small water splash pad fountain next door. And the playground is adjacent to a lot of tables and seating areas as well as soccer and baseball fields, basketball courts, hockey rink, and...
