This is a great place to have a nice sit down dinner, with friends, family or even business colleagues! If you or someone you know is curious to try Afghani cuisine, then you should definitely visit Ariana.
The ambiance is lovely - peaceful and calm. I usually go here for early weekday dinners, so it's been quiet too. The interiors are tastefully done, I also like their artwork on the walls.
A lot of the options are meat based but they do have a separate smaller menu for veggie dishes (vegetarians rejoice!). You start with bread, butter and a variety of chutneys. These are addictive, you can make a meal out of them, haha! The apps we order are always vegetarian: Kaddo - pumpkin based sweet sour dish Aushak - ravioli stuffed with leeks and scallions topped with yummy sauces Bowlani kaddo - crispy shell filled with spiced pumpkin All are delicious but my favorite is the kaddo. So simple yet tasty.
For the entree, I get the murgh challow - chicken cooked with lentils and a side of rice. Again, this dish too is a blend of mild flavors which is its USP. Nothing overpowers your taste buds.
For dessert, we've enjoyed the: Sheerberaing - the rice pudding but it was a tad too sweet for us Sheerekh - ice cream with toppings (pistachio, frozen pineapple, nuts) Pineapple cake - it's nice but I would say it's my least favorite of the three
Customer service is always pleasant. Whenever I've visited, it's only been one person running the show so I'm always amazed by how every table is well cared for. There's an occasional delay, but...
Read moreWOW!!!! I found Ariana randomly via internet search while looking for a restaurant to cater a work lunch for about 35 people. We are a hospital though our building was off campus and had a lunch we needed catered. Baheja was wonderful in taking our order and working with us in finding meals that worked with our budget. The food is on the pricier side but well worth it. I had never had Alfgani food before and it was also a first for our group and everyone raved over it. My mouth waters just thinking of how delicious the food was. They agreed to label the trays of food for us which made my life so much easier in terms of serving my group and having them know exactly what they were eating. They were great about paying attention to details regarding our nut allergy. Ariana was a complete homerun and everyone LOVED IT. The food is so flavorful, the ingredients fresh. I often have a hard time finding food that satisfies a whole group with a variety of preferences from vegetarians, to keto, to nut allergies and Ariana left everyone totally happy and very satisfied!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH Ariana for such a great experience with you. We...
Read moreIncredible food and amazing service!! I ate here with a large party on a Saturday night and had one of the best meals of my life! And I was not the only one in our party to say this!
Everything tasted amazing - the mantu appetizers had such good flavor and the Qabili was a favorite around the table and the lamb absolutely melts in your mouth. The kofta kabob also melted in my mouth and was so so flavorful, as was the chicken kabob (mourgh kabob). It’s hard to find chicken cooked to perfection like that and with such delicious flavors.
There were also many good options for the vegans and vegetarians in our party and everyone at our table was so happy and impressed with the food.
Our servers were so lovely and accommodating and helped us choose what to order.
Eating here was an excellent experience and we are so grateful for the amazing meal we ate here! My family will be talking about this epic meal for a long time and we are so excited to come back asap!
This restaurant is a must-try! (We ate at a different afghani restaurant in the area but it didn’t even come close to how delicious the food...
