Just before COVID hit the US, I popped in, unannounced, and the staff was welcoming and allowed me to SIT and meditate in their meditation space upstairs. I sat for over an hour and cleansed my mind.
Before I knew it, an organizer came in to let me know there was a class starting soon and I was invited to stay if I liked. So. I did and sat through that class too.
I had always wanted to visit a Shambhala temple or whatever it's called.
There was so many cool, original copies of intriguing books in their libraries.
This was a much-needed connection with a style of Buddhism I had been studying and practicing solo for 4 years.

They also have inexpensive weekend day programs/retreats friendly to beginner meditators.
They have a secular Sunday school program in the fall for kids to learn meditation and many childrenâs events throughout the year.

I began meditating here over two decades ago and exposed my kids to meditation early. Theyâre still doing retreats now as adults and teens, but more importantly-theyâre happy and confident.
