Limited selection, poor customer service, and overpriced items. I recommend checking out other gaming shops in Boulder.
This store claims to offer hassle-free returns on unopened items, but they didn’t honor that promise. I drove from Denver to buy a few board game miniatures. When I got home, I opened one box and realized the miniatures were unpainted—surprising, given the price was higher than most places selling the same item. At this price point, I thought these were the painted versions.
I reached out about a return and was told the owner, Charlie, would handle it later that day if I came in after 2pm. I drove back (all the way from Southern Denver), but he never showed up. The staff was rude and only offered 50% back, even though the box and item were in pristine condition. The only thing I did was gently remove and reattach a small adhesive seal—no damage whatsoever. It looks the exact same as it did when I purchased the item the day before.
Advice to the owner: If the product and packaging are in the same condition as when sold—especially within 24 hours—a full refund should be standard. This is the policy you advertise above the cash register and you didn't honor it.
Bad experience....
Read moreI literally don't understand why these people run a card shop. I have placed close to a dozen singles buylists, and every. single. time., they complained about the way I placed my orders when I've picked them up as if there's another way to do it using their website. Also, their singles and sealed prices are super inflated for the relatively small selection they have. They think they can sell for median NM tcgplayer price (and often for more) for played/borderline damaged copies of cards... Their trade-in values are also a slap in the face, they don't have no problem using 50% of tcgplayer low/minimum price here. Take your hard-earned money elsewhere, there are actually good shops not too far away that are well worth the drive...
Read moreAt first I thought this store was pretty cool, I had come in a few times to buy some MtG singles and just hang out… Then I realized this place requires you to show your vaccination card to play in their events, and I just can’t help but wonder if they got the memo, but if I’m not mistaken the pandemic is over? Im not sure why you would ask me to fork over proof of vaccination, especially when you have the audacity to charge people to play commander in your store on Saturdays. I would encourage anyone who has resisted the false vaccination rhetoric or just values their rights in general, to avoid this store...
