Was picking up an online order from Busaba and saw this place next door, that I had never heard of! Their pastry case looked very appealing from the sidewalk and I just had to stop in for a treat. I must have walked in just a couple of minutes before closing, but I did not even realize, since the employee there was still so welcoming and patient. That alone earns Pony M Cake a high rating from me, as in other businesses it is often clear the staff are trying to rush you out the door or don’t even want to serve you even if they’re still open (one of my biggest pet peeves!)
The peach crepe cake was very tempting, but I opted for boba tea instead. I asked the employee a question to help me decide between two teas, and her answer showed she was very knowledgeable about the drinks. I was really happy with her recommendation! I also appreciate that she asked me if I wanted to change the sweetness level, since I often forget to do that! Drink size is generous, boba pearls are perfect, and flavor is excellent. I was offered a mochi donut sample (since they were closing), which was coated in a peach sugar. So delicious, I will definitely be back soon to try more. Excited to tell my family—I know they will love this place! Already trying to think of a reason to order...

If you’re not familiar Pony M is a bakery that recently opened on Baseline and Foothills, in the Safeway/McDevitt complex. The owners are absolutely adorable and so friendly! Their offerings include a variety of Boba, smoothies, and teas; as well as the most decadent desserts and gyros!!!
For those unfamiliar the Japanese Mille Crepe is a crepe layered sweets filled with custard or fresh cream. The name comes from "mille" meaning 1000 in French. I highly recommend giving Pony M Cake a try!!! I look forward to making this a family tradition for...
Read moreThe smell of cigarette smoke hits you as soon as you walk up, and it's coming from an employee smoking right outside the front door. With every customer who opens the door, the smell drifts inside. It's nauseating and completely ruins the experience, especially when you're about to eat or drink. We came twice. Once we tried to sit outside but had to leave, and the second time we didn’t even go in because the same employee was out there smoking again. It’s really disappointing, especially coming from staff, and makes it hard to want to support the business. In Boulder, smoking is prohibited within a 25-foot radius of any...
