"Spanish for the Love of It" is the very best Spanish class I have experienced in my years of Spanish learning! I've been learning from David for nearly a year and plan to continue my Spanish learning journey with him as long as he will let me! -David Faulkner has years of Spanish education and Spanish teaching experience ... and it shows! -David explains concepts in a way that I can understand; relating Spanish to English, using helpful charts/graphics, and teaching fun little tips that really help with learning (have you ever heard of a sandal verb?) -David has written and published his own curriculum "De Cabo a Rabo" (available on Amazon)! His curriculum is so well written and comprehensive that it is easy to self-assess where your individual Spanish skills lie and where you should start in his program. Skills are taught in a sequence that makes sense, in easy to digest chunks, without being overwhelming. For many years of my adult life I have wanted to attain fluency in Spanish. The problem was that I never took the necessary steps nor dedicated myself appropriately to this goal. Finally, I’d had enough and found Spanish For the Love Of It. David Faulkner has authored a thorough and methodical curriculum. That, coupled with his patient and kind teaching, has enabled me to progress in the acquisition of the language. Learning to actually understand and speak a language requires work, time and patience. If you are willing to commit to the task, Spanish For the Love Of It is the best choice you could make. I highly recommend him as a teacher and his curriculum. He has many years of teaching and speaking experience and incorporates the fullness of the Latin American world into all that he does. This is a relational and kind environment in which to learn, either on your own or with others. From David’s provision of coffee each class to his willingness to work with his students’ schedules (Zoom when needed, etc) to supporting a free “Caffeinated Conversations” group, to offering many bonus resources, I could not have asked for a better environment in which to learn....

This class has made such a difference for me! I studied Spanish for several years but knew there were gaps in my education, and I struggled to have confidence speaking it with others. David's classes are thoughtfully designed and help you learn how to speak Spanish both the "proper" way and how it is spoken colloquially. I was so impressed to learn that David has written ALL of the books for the class, including a book of short stories. It's also great that there are activities outside of class for you to practice your language skills with other students, like game nights, documentary nights, morning hikes and potlucks!
