National Marine Life Center — Local services in Bourne

I have mixed reviews on this one. I really did like it. It was a cute FREE educational center that is probably in place to help fund the rehabilitation of sea animals. What would make it just a little better, would be a volunteer who could awncer questions that we had. The young man who was on hand seemed to be there for technical purposes. He was nice but not eager to help. Another thing that would have been nice would have been able to see the animals they have in rehab that are also up for adoption. The adoption... When you adopt an animal a little more info on how to follow their progress would be great. Again if your in the area stop in it's a cute place and they are a non profit and could use all the help...

This is not your traditional zoo or aquarium. It is a HOSPITAL for injured animals, but they offer educational experiences for young children in the summer and during spring break and fall break. If you are looking for a zooquarium experience, this is not it. But if you are looking to teach your children about wildlife and the ocean, it is great! As others have mentioned, this place is not an aquarium or a zoo where you go snd see tons of animals, this is like a Hospital/Rehab center for wild animals. However, you’ll be able to see (through a live feed) some of the patients that they have and they’ll take the time to both teach you about animals and tell you more about the patients Its a really cool place and everyone was super nice.
