Consignment World Inc. — Local services in Bowling Green

Went to Consignment World looking for antique plates and salad plates for my son's wedding. The owner of the store told me to go to Grandma's Attic, that she owned that store as well. I went to Grandma's Attic and picked out at least 4 sets of individual dinner plate and salad plate. I went to register to pay and the lady, Emily, told me that if they didn't have prices on them, they were not for individual sale. They came out of sets of dishes. When I entered the store and told girl at register what I was looking for, I was instructed to go down two different aisles, which I did and that is where I found the plate sets. I confirmed with Emily that I could not purchase the sets I picked out and she said "No"! "I am not breaking up sets of dishes!" I asked her for her name and explained that the owner of Consignment World told me to come to Grandma's Attic. I went to this shop a few days ago. I tend to approach new experiences with open and holistic views, and this was no different. As I entered the shop, I was hit with a very aggressive smell of burgoo. It wasn't exactly a positive or negative thing, but the ripe scent made me question if it was coming from me, as I had just walked a mile in the heat to arrive there. The selection was neat and quite varied, and there were many nice and affordable finds. There was something haunting about the atmosphere, but that's to be expected from any antique store. First off it took a week to get a reply to my initial email message to them. We wanted to bring some things in to sell and were told on the phone by an employee that we could come in anytime. On the day we went with the items we had to sell the owner greeted us in a very rude manor and told us we should have called for an appointment and with out even looking at what we had in the car he said he didn't want it. We wasted our time loading everything in the car and driving to their business for nothing. We don't deal with rude people and will never do...
