We recently had the pleasure of dining at a newly opened establishment, and despite its recent launch, we were thoroughly impressed by the experience. This venue specializes in Mediterranean and American cuisine, offering a diverse menu featuring appetizers, soups, salads, kabab skewers, pasta, seafood, burgers, wraps, steaks, and a kids' menu. In addition to their culinary offerings, the establishment boasts a full bar with an extensive cocktail selection and a separate hookah lounge.
During our visit, I was impressed by the vibrant ambiance, characterized by fiery hues reminiscent of lava, and the beautiful light fixtures that adorned the space. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the hostess, Dest, who took the time to acquaint us with the establishment. Our server, Isabella, exhibited remarkable energy and attentiveness throughout our meal, providing excellent service and addressing any inquiries we had about the menu.
I ordered a Mojito, which was expertly crafted and among the best I've had in recent memory. I had the opportunity to meet Sarah, the talented mixologist responsible for this delightful concoction, who was both engaging and eager to share her experiences as a bartender.
For our meal, we opted for a gyro wrap and Shawarma chicken, both of which were delectable choices. I was pleased to find that the accompanying fries were served piping hot. As we explored the premises, it became evident that the establishment holds great promise. The hookah lounge, in particular, offered a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with a wide selection of options for enthusiasts.
The owner, Peter, took the time to chat with us, displaying a genuine interest in our feedback and suggestions. I envision this establishment becoming a popular destination for dining, drinks, dancing, or enjoying a leisurely hookah session. Despite the inclusion of a hookah lounge, the establishment remains family-friendly, with a separate area designated for hookah.
Conveniently located near the downtown area and WKU campus, this establishment is sure to attract a diverse range of patrons. Overall, my experience at this newly opened spot was nothing short of delightful, and I eagerly anticipate future visits. I HIGHLY...
Read moreI can’t fathom what all the positive reviews are for. We walked in on a Saturday and was greeted by a 9 year old, who told us to follow her and then ran off. We picked our own table out of the empty restaurant. There were TVs everywhere so we asked if we could watch the game, but nobody knew how to work them. A nice girl came and asked if we’d like to order anything, but we hadn’t been given a menu. I asked her what the best thing on the menu was and she said the burgers and pizza were good. That should have been the first warning sign. Who suggests burgers and pizza at a Mediterranean restaurant? We ordered an appetizer and 3 meals. My husband’s meal arrived first, a pasta dish which tasted like hamburger helper. My daughter got her chicken nuggets which she said was good. Then we got our appetizer. 20 minutes later I got my meal, but I was already full from the appetizer and my husband sharing his with me. I would have told the server to not bother to bring it, but we hadn’t seen her for 20 minutes. These seem like mistakes a new restaurant would make while they’re working out the kinks, but this restaurant has been open for a while now. I don’t understand how they remain...
Read moreI hate to do this to a new restaurant but this is truly my honest opinion and I hope they make adjustments in the future. I tried both the Chicken and Beef/Lamb "Shawarma" Wrap. The spices all wrong and not nearly as it should be. Both tasted like the were cooked differently, perhaps pre-cooked?! Idk, it felt like I was eating boiled food, It has no flavor of what Shawarma should be. Shawarma has to have some sort of sauce inside such as garlic sauce to be called a shawarma, it was dry. Missing Middle Eastern Pickles (they are salty and sour) rather than the one comes with it which is a regular pickle. Shawarma's doesn't need lattice at all.
The person who took my order was lovely and I'm not taking a shoot at this restaurant but my first experience wasn't as I hoped it to be. I hope you all reevaluate the shawarmas to keep it as close as to what it supposed to be, if not, remove the...
