Griffs Deli — Restaurant in Bowling Green

A deli with stale bread is just a sad deli. Other things why we will not be back: adding balled up meat that didn't cover the whole sandwich not sure why it needed to be golf ball size in the middle of the bread it's a deli so thick gristle meat is not expected but every restaurant does thier own thing, cold potato when they have a whole section of the menu dedicated to potatoes I wasn't expecting one that had been sitting around for hours it wasn't like we took it home- I opened it in the parking lot that thing should have been steaming!, and absolutely zero hustle from the staff we ordered 2 sandwich and a potato watched the kitchen staff moving around like they were lost, then when they set our items up in the window the girl that took our order answered 2 phone calls before looking at us and looking at our food back and forth a few times before deciding to bag it up. And calling out my name like she was looking for someone else. We were the only people there other that one table that was already eating.

Did I mention she asked us to fill out the credit card slip instead of sign it, I thought it was just a play in words till she watched me fill it out-yes her hovering over that tip line started making me pay attention to the restaurant as a whole.

I wouldn't typically be so hard on a place as to give it 2 stars, but only the presentation of the restaurant is reasonable. We ordered 2 sandwich meals and a kids hot ham and cheese, which came in at $32 for what amounts to maybe $4 of food deli food that definitely didn't seem entirely fresh. One of the sandwiches was made incorrectly, the roasted chicken was extremely dry, my sandwich (the susie-q) had a pungent taste that I couldn't identify (I'm aware there are green apples on it), and my wife laughed at the lettuce wrap due to the amount of excess that there was. While their sandwich selection is reasonable, the execution is such that I couldn't recommend someone eat there, and I likely wouldn't eat the sandwich if it were free just because it isn't something I really want to ingest again. I went there tonight because I absolutely love Griffs I get there chicken salad sandwich which is amazing and I’ve never had any issues I wanted to try something new So I got a house salad and the same just as good. I’ve been ordering them for a while now and tonight makes the second one that I’ve found a hair in!! The first one I had already made it back to work and I understand mistakes happen so I didn’t cause a fuss tonight I was eating in the restaurant, when I showed them there was no apology just let me get you a new one. They didn’t bring me a new salad it looked like they had pulled the hair out went in the back and just flipped my salad into a new bowl, minus the hair of course. The croutons, cheese, tomatoes, and cucumbers where all on the bottom. Not happy will prolly not be ordering...
