I just left Timanmi’s HIGHLY DISSATISFIED. I called in my order at 12:09 pm and I arrive to the restaurant at 12:50. When I arrived, I was asked if I was paying with card or cash, and when I answered “card” I was told to “hold on" by the women at the service desk. She then called her boss “Alex”, and preceded to tell him that their internet were down since this morning. Alex the boss then proceeds to ask for my card number over the phone while I’m standing in front of like 5 different people ( 3 customers and 2 workers). After telling them I wasn’t comfortable with saying my card number in front of people, and asked for process that was taking place (because this is my bank card information they are asking for without explaining how this is being done) Alex hangs up the phone. I was willing to pay for my food, and go on about my day, because I drove 30 minutes to have this meal. Not only did I leave without the food. I waited 20 minutes to be told that there was nothing they could do. Alex the boss asked me to wait an additional 10 after the 20 minutes I have already waited for him to get my card information in person. When I told this to the women at the service desk, she replied “I guess you have to wait”. NO APOLOGIES. NO PROPER CUSTOMER SERVICE. I understand about mishaps, but I ordered my food over the phone, she could has easily told me WE ARE ONLY ACCEPTING CASH AT THE MOMENT since the internet has been off since this morning, but she failed to do that. Now I come with card, and I’m being told to wait, because of information this restaurant withheld. I will not be supporting this business anymore. If you can’t value your customers, you are in the wrong business. I’m a regular at that, and I’ve never experienced this type of unprofessionalism like I did today at Timanmi’s Kitchen. I hope you don’t treat anyone else like this, because what I experienced today...
Read moreOnly reason I gave 3 stars is because of the portion size. They give you alot of food. Prices are reasonable. I ordered the griot complete and the lalo. I have had better. It wasn't the worst I've had but it wasn't good enough for me to go back again. The food barely had any seasoning/ flavor. The griot and lalo was not flavourful. It tasted like they just threw it in a pot just salt and pepper and cooked it. The rice and beans was good and so was the fried plantains and the white rice...
