This is a lengthy review so let me summarize here: 1. This establishment has disrespectful employees that will lock you in at 9 PM and refuse to help despite being on the premises and having the ability to open the gate and 2. All elevators are unsafe, the licenses have been expired since 2022. This review is dated July 20th, 2025. (images are attached). My family and I finished packing up our truck at 9:45 PM and attempted to leave the property right after. We could not get out, despite entering my code and calling the property manager multiple times. There was no announcement made via intercom/speaker stating the property would be closing at 9 PM, nor were we notified by any employees on site. Furthermore, there are no signs clearly stating the opening hours (see pictures of loading area below, do you see any sign clearly stating the hours?) This would have been really helpful. I understand that it is my fault for not understanding the closing hours, but what I will not accept is the mistreatment that me and my family received as we were attempting to leave. After we could not get in contact with the property owner or any member of the Public Storage staff, we saw that the front office lights were on and there was a car parked outside. However, we even knocked on the doors to get the employees attention, but could not get anyone’s assistance. We were forced to call 911 after being forcefully held on your property. The police were in the process of sending someone out to help when an employee exited the front office finally. She came out stating that we should be aware that they close at 9 PM and that was it. I’m not sure if this employee is the person responsible for letting customers know when the property is closing and for surveying the premises for any people/vehicles still on site, but she never did so. Nonetheless, she entered a code and opened the “entrance” gate, forcing me to reverse my U-Haul truck from the exit gate, then turn to leave through the entrance gate. The entrance gate then closed before the vehicle accompanying me with my family members could exit. My family honked to get her attention as she walked away. She clearly saw that the vehicle was locked in once again, she clearly knew that the two vehicles were both trying to exit as we are one family, but still, she went back into office and ignored our pleas to leave. This was blatant and uncalled for, I am appalled at how disrespectful this employee is. Please answer for me what the purpose of this behavior is? Why would she lock us in after ignoring us? We’re done with our business and should no longer be on the premises, so this obviously did not make sense. We knocked on the doors once again and she did not come back out. I am disgusted by how she treated us. We ended up having to wait another 30 minutes for the police to come and let us out. They also attempted to reach her, but she ignored them as well. Ignoring an officer? Is that the standard that you hold your employees to? I’d also like to mention that the safety inspection report for both elevators are expired from the year of 2022, and while this may not have an relevance to the situation mentioned prior, it is certainly a testament to the poor management of this facility. I am so disappointed and will never recommend this facility to anyone. I am relieved that I am ending my contract with your company and will gladly be taking my business elsewhere. Your employees should not be allowed to do as they please, neglect their responsibilities and treat paying customers this way.

DO NOT STORE HERE!!BURGLARIZED, DESTROYED BELONGINGS, ZERO SECURITY AND TOTAL NEGLIGENCE!!! I cannot stress enough how horrible our experience has been with Public Storage. Our unit was burglarized, lock broken, and our personal belongings were stolen, and destroyed. Come to find out, we aren’t the first ones to be burglarized & violated at this location. Found out there were prior break-ins on many units, the most recent being in February, and July with an arrest being made. To add insult to injury, when we discovered the break-in, our unit was also covered in rat feces, clearly showing a complete lack of cleanliness and facility management. The most alarming part is the total lack of security at this location. THERE IS NONE! There were no video surveillance cameras to monitor the facility, and security is so lax that it felt like they were practically inviting criminals in. Management's response to the situation was equally infuriating, they were completely incompetent, dismissive, and offered no real assistance or solution to the nightmare we were facing. Despite the repeated break-ins, we were never notified that our unit could have been a potential target, leaving our items completely vulnerable. Management didn’t even bother to alert us so we could check, and secure our belongings. This kind of negligence is completely unacceptable! If you care about your personal belongings, stay far away from this place. Public Storage shows zero accountability, and I wouldn’t trust them with anything of value. This place is a disaster for anyone looking for safe, reliable storage, and it’s clear they have no regard for their customers’ property. Find somewhere else! I guess this is what you get if you store your personal belongings with Public Storage. We not only got robbed of our possessions, most irreplaceable, but robbed of $300+ a month payments for 2+ years to secure them, and we were robbed of our peace of mind which has caused us immense emotional distress, and now the time & effort we will have to put into this, cleaning up the destroyed unit, and relocating. Photos below of when my boyfriend cleaned and organized the unit on January 12, 2024… and our current mess we have to sort through & deal with.

I highly recommend Public Storage on South Military Trail in Lake Worth, Fla. This two-year old facility is very clean (including the storage bins) and offers a variety of sizes for storage,. The bin I selected is in a three-story tall climate-controlled building with air-conditioning and elevator access (a 5 foot by 5 foot storage bin is seen in photo). There are plenty of flatbed carts to use so you won’t have to carry anything heavy and the elevators are large/industrial-size. The security is very impressive. You need a code to open the electronic gate to drive in and out of the secured area, as well as to enter the building and also to use the elevator. The customer service is wonderful and staff on site are very helpful, professional and friendly. Packing supplies and locks are available for purchase. The prices at this facility for storage are extremely competitive for this part of Florida! I give them the highest five star rating. AAA+++

If I’m able to give 0 stars, I would. My mom had a storage with them back in June 2022. Sadly, my mom passed away December 2022 but payments were made on time up until near August/september. The storage called both my sister and I to pay until Tuesday or my mom’s stuff would be going onto auction. I didn’t have all the funds and I asked for a payment arrangement Tuesday morning. A staff member calls her manager and they said if I get my mom belongings end of Tuesday, they will let me get my mom belongings….. fast forward to 8ish pm of Tuesday, more than half my mom things were missing. I went back to the storage and spoke in person with the manager and when I mentioned to her my mom’s belongings were missing, her demeanor changed towards me. Going off stating I’m not the account holder and she doesn’t have to speak to me regarding my mom’s belongings. She also stated my mom unit was a skip and out of courtesy they gave me access to my mom’s unit. I asked for a picture of my mom’s unit and she refused. She said pictures were taken to prepare for auction. I came to the storage unit Tuesday morning and you gave me access to remove my mom’s unit things just to find more than half of her unit was missing. I didn’t blame her, I said all I want is my mom’s things. She was unprofessional, and was condescending towards me and made me feel uncomfortable and small. Also stated the account holder is not here….in my head, I was baffled and hurt, because yes I know the account holder is not here and the account holder is my mom who passed away! And all I want is my mom’s belongings. I called the police and waiting to get the police report. I believe and I said I believe, most of my mom things were taken prior to me coming on Tuesday, nothing was said to me that my mom’s things were taken. This may sound stereotypical but my mom was a Haitian and most Haitians will make sure their storage unit is packed! My mom unit only had a few boxes Tuesday night. Also to note, my cousin and I were the ones who had packed the storage up when my mom got the storage unit in the summer of 2022. Just becareful yall. I heard myths that storages know what’s in people units prior to auctions and now I’m starting to believe that. My mom is gone and I just want my...
