Zero stars if I could. I meant to write this review a long time ago, but the other 1â review regarding young children prompted me to share our experience. I went in looking for an item. A young girl with a thick southern accent helped me find them. Fair enough. My 4 year old accidentally knocked some beads over, which I promptly apologized for, picked up, and hung back up. Then my sons and I went down towards the children's crafts and toys. My children were looking at the little animal figurines while I looked at educational crafts on the end cap. The same young girl came up to me within maybe 3 minutes and asked to speak to me "privately", pulling me about an aisle away from my children. (Weird, considering her complaint). She was whispering and acting really weird. I asked what was going on and she said, "I was told your children are trashing the store and was asked to tell you that if you can't control your children you'll be asked to leave. I told them I'd talk to you because I know what's going on." Wait, what? I was WITH my children the entire time. Nothing, absolutely nothing was being "TRASHED", furthermore she knew "what's going on"...? Yeah, I'm shopping with my children. She was acting like she was in on some huge conspiracy and she was the only one who knew how to handle it. I went back to my boys who had exactly THREE of the little toy figurines out. I SO wish I'd taken my phone out, recorded that aisle, every single other aisle in the store and uploaded the video to the internet to show the ridiculousness of the accusation. I was livid. You're going to threaten to KICK me out of the store over my kids looking at 3 toys? If it's that big of a deal, DON'T PLACE TOYS ON THE BOTTOM MOST SHELVES WHERE CHILDREN CAN AND WILL REACH THEM & PLAY WITH THEM!!!! I needed the item I went there for, so I paid for it and left with the promise to never return to another Michaels craft store again. The way we were treated was ridiculous, unprofessional, dramatic, petty, embarrassing, condescending... I could go on, but you get the point. I don't know if that girl still works there, but based on other reviews, this wasn't an isolated incident. It appears this store has a track record of treating families with young children in an absolutely ridiculous manner and I definitely DO NOT recommend shopping there if you have children. Hobby Lobby is way better. Better prices, better staff, better selection, and they've NEVER treated me how Michaels did. Gross. Michaels, you need someone from corporate to really take a look at this location and make some significant...
Read moreI was in the Bozeman store this evening around 8pm. I was looking for grid paper for a project. I looked all over before going to the front to ask the clerk for help. She was new so she was unsure if they had any. She kindly got on the radio and ask the older lady that was in the back. She said that they did not carry it. Me being me I jumped on line to see where else I could find some. Michael's was the first place that popped up. I went to the aisle (31) and found one, I seen online they had another one that would work better, but it didn't have an aisle it said wall. So once again I asked the kid upfront if she had an idea where I could find it and she didn't. I went back and found the older lady and showed her my phone and she said like I said we don't have grid paper.... I showed her the paper I was holding which in fact was grid paper. I asked if she could point me in the direction of what wall it might be on, her reply was priceless.... she said well we have four walls soooo..... Needless to say I did NOT buy anything from there. Do better people customer service...
Read moreOne of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I was âhelpedâ by a woman with long brown hair with a blonde streak and glasses (didnât catch her name). This store is advertised as a UPS access point with a sign on the front door. She told me they could only take my package if it was already packaged and ready to go with a printing label. I created a label on my phone however she said she would not print it for me. I asked her where I could buy some cardboard boxes and tape and she said she âwasnât entirely sureâ where they were located in the store. I asked what the store hours were tomorrow so I could come back with the label printed and she said they should be open until 7pm tomorrow but only if staffing âis reasonableâ otherwise she doesnât know what hours theyâll actually be open. The entire time she acted extremely annoyed and rude and bothered by me even being there asking for her assistance. She is a very unkind worker who should not be employed in customer service in...
