By far my worst experience ever there. I was driving home when I wanted a dessert and after speaking with my significant other about where to go we thought about cheese fries and chocolate thunder from down under. So almost to dairy queen we turned around to go back to Outback to get our favorite apps and desserts. We sat at the bar since we were only doing apps and desserts. We were seated promptly by the greeters and told our waitress would be with us soon. After a few minutes of sitting we finally got a waitress to take our drink order. Then she asked if we wanted to order dinner. I told the waitress no we are just doing apps and desserts tonight. She took our order and we waited for our food. By the time the order arrived we finished our first drinks. She walked by and as she approached a group of 4 glanced and asked if everything was good and I said yes and she continued to walk to the other larger group as I tried to order another round of drinks. She got us our drinks and that was the last we saw of her at our table for the duration of the visit. She walked by multiple times but never asked if we needed anything but made sure to pay attention to the group and the couple behind us who were all doing full meals so larger tickets than our $60 night I assume. Finally after attempting to get dessert we just pulled out cash and tried to calculate our bill in our heads and were just going to leave cash on the table and not get dessert. Oh but wait then she says oh you want a box? Yeah that's all we want is a box. Not the dessert we came in for. So we got a box and paid our tab and left with no dessert. What a shame. I will not be back at this place ever again. Sad sad day for customer service...
Read moreMy experience was so-so. We've been twice for dinner. The food was quite good the first time but the second time it could've been much better. The soup is excessively hot! I can't believe they serve it that hot and don't get sued. You have to wait ten or fifteen minutes just to taste it unless you want to burn off your tastebuds. Besides that, the soup was really spicy. We found this pretty inexplicable since it was clam chowder--I'm not sure I've ever had a spicy clam chowder. I didn't mind the fact that it WAS spicy, but HOW spicy. I couldn't eat it without constantly sipping my water and even my husband was breaking into a sweat with it. What the heck? I ordered the Outback special with "mushroom and lobster topping." What did I get? Lobster and GREEN ONION topping. I positively hate green onions and it was almost nothing BUT green onions. Definitely not worth the extra money as far as a lobster topping goes, and I could hardly eat it because of all the onions. I had carefully pick out and pile them onto one side of my plate and got whatever little liquid and lobster was left out of it to eat with my steak. And just so it's clear, there wasn't a single mushroom on my plate so it's not like they were just a little heavy-handed with the green onions in the mushroom sauce. Why would they decide to completely change a menu item like that? I'm too much of a wimp to send a dish back so I just ate around it, but you can bet I won't be trying that trick again IF we go back at all. We might just stick with the Rib & Chop in Livingston if...
Read moreIf there was a no star option I'd pick that. My co-worker and I have been traveling for 3 straight weeks and finally got a early evening off and were exhasted. So we decided Outback close to the hotel sounded good. We were seated near the bar. Waited 15 minutes before the server brought water and greeted us. Asked if we were ready to order. We needed a minute to look so ordered a beer and a blackberry martini. Took 20 minutes to get them and her to come take our order. I ordered the alice springs chicken my partner ordered a 6oz fillet Mid-rare. We waited 40 minutes to receive a well done steak and a crispy chicken plate. Immediately no new they were cooked awful. Said to the waitress that they looked like they sat in the window for awhile. She got attitude and said she ran them as soon as they hit the window. Obviously they sent it out knowing it was wrong because as soon as I said something apparently the kitchen manager was behind us and came over and said they had already put a new chicken on the grill. In that time my partner cut into his steak showed him and he said he'd fix it. So we waited an the 15 minutes. We had been there now an hour and a half. Food came out and was right, but we were exhausted took a bite and took it Togo. Manger came over apologized of course comped the drinks( since that was the cheapest option). Didn't care to have to wait any longer so just paid and left. I've worked in the service industry for years on all sides FOH/BOH so I understand things happen, but the service standards are clearly not the...
