Target — Local services in Bradenton

I was really looking forward to finally checking out the new Target in NW Bradenton — after all the anticipation, I was hoping for that signature “wow” factor… but unfortunately, it missed the mark.

Right from the entrance, the first thing I noticed was the flooring — it’s the original from the old Kmart. While it’s been polished, it still feels outdated and was a big distraction. It’s surprising they didn’t invest in new flooring, especially for a brand-new Target. They also reused the old shelving, which only added to the underwhelming first impression.

The store layout feels awkward. For example, the Hearth & Hand collection — a popular Target exclusive by Magnolia — is tucked away in a back corner instead of being featured more prominently like it is in other locations. It deserves better placement.

The clothing departments were especially disappointing. The sections are small, and the overall selection feels limited. Compared to other nearby Targets, like the Bayshore location, the assortment here feels a bit lackluster — both in variety and quality. Whoever is curating the fashion for this store really needs to step it up.

For a store serving NW Bradenton — a community that waited quite a while for this location — I expected something a bit more polished and thoughtfully designed. That said, it’s still fairly new, so hopefully there are plans to make improvements over time. Until then, I’ll likely stick with the Bayshore Target, which feels more aligned with what I expect...

Very disappointed that they do not have a deli but they have a small section of prepackaged cold cuts. Also disappointed at the very small packaged meats area (not alot of variety of meats).
