Horrible customer service experience. Went to wawa grand opening of a new location at 7417 Manatee Ave. in Bradenton, FL 34209 with a grand opening coupon that I was using on their last day before expired I asked a gentleman in the lobby that worked there by the name of Vinny Who said he was the food and beverage manager if I could use the free hamburger coupon on any sandwich or it had to be the hamburger he replied it had to be the hamburger and then said were out of stock I replied is there anything else you can substitute it with he replied with no. At that time a customer that was placing an order said to both of us that she was in last night and they did not have the hamburger and they substitute it for another sandwich. Then he replied I am the food and beverage manager and I cannot do that. I then repeated my question is there anything you can substitute for the hamburger that you do not have in stock for this free grand opening coupon that expires today. He replied it says on the coupons no substitutions are allowed he then replied saying I can go back there and try to make you a hamburger with some other type of meat but you won’t like it because it won’t be a hamburger. I replied this is not very good customer service skills especially for a grand opening where you’re trying to attract customers and he reply by saying he’s not going to substitute anything and that he didn’t have to because it was out of stock and then said to me it’s very nice meeting you which I replied is not very nice to meet you. It’s very obvious that this is his first position as a manager and he thinks he can throw that weight around to his customers Vinny the food and beverage manager who he was so proud to tell me his position and how to spell his name correctly needs More management training. I travel all over the state of Florida 5 to 6 days a week and I am in a Wawa almost every day all over the state and I have never ever had a customer experience as horrible as this one. I was looking forward to visiting this Wawa probably daily because it is extremely close to my house and was happy that it was opened But due to this experience will probably visit other Wawa’s on my way back home so I do not encounter anymore horrible customer experiences at...
Read moreLet me start by saying that I go in very early in the morning when no where else is open on this side of Bradenton. Think 4:30 am or earlier. The food is good and the staff is as friendly as can be expected. However wether it is due to poor managerial decisions at the store level, district level or corporate level if you order you can regularly expect them to not even start preparing your order because “some people don’t come in to pick up their orders” which ironically has made me have to leave before my order has been made and call Wawa support to be refunded so I can make it to work on time. I do not blame the staff there at all as they did not make the decision and are just doing their jobs but out of all the seemingly store level policies I’ve experienced at the dozens of Wawa locations I’ve been to this is the only one this is the one that is most consistently annoying and problem causing. It would seem that this policy would be the cause of more problems that the solution to them the store cannot reasonably be held responsible for someone not picking up their order so much as it can for the order being tremendously late when ordered ahead of time- like I always do via the app. Even still with this being not even my 5th time having an issue like this (way more times) I will continue to come to this location if only by necessity seeing as how the only other stores open before 5am are fast food restaurants 8 miles out of my way or other Wawa locations 4 miles...
Read moreI will never shop at Wawa again; I was a three time a day at most times loyal shopper and yet I made the mistake of believing in Wawa’s staff as being competent adults - I now see they are not capable of handling mundane simple tasks. Because I left the store to open my bag of over $50 worth of merchandise to find the wrong pack of two packs of cigarettes (almost $20 worth of useless merchandise in my bag) the manager would not exchange for the correct brand even with the employee who had rang me up and put the wrong cigarettes in my bag was standing right their looking doe eyed and dumb unable to speak as she knew it was her screwup and yet I am out the $20. The money is not the issue as it’s very limited amount but it’s the issue of ignorance being allowed without any customer service in trying to rectify the situation by “making the customer happy”. I run companies and would NEVER treat a customer that way!!! Wawa has lost my weekly amount of over $2000 as none of my family will spend another dollar in this store!!! Hopefully Wawa brightens up and fires the ignorant staff and management at this location to hire replacements who are actually competent individuals- until then 7eleven will earn...
