Update 2/21/23:
Just wanted to share this brief update today after my most recent visit this past weekend. My wedding anniversary is this week and I went to see John to look for a small gift for my wife. Had another great experience catching up, discussing and trying on watches, and of course looking at potential gifts for my wife. In the end, I walked out with a perfect gift for my wife and a new timepiece for myself. John and the rest of the sales team at Long's were friendly and genuine as always. I continue to recommend them not only for quality timepieces, but for any of your jewelry needs.

Just an all around great experience from initial contact to picking up my dream watch. Last wk, I reached out online to simply ask when the Long’s Jewelers in Braintree would be opening now that restrictions related to Covid 19 were starting to be lifted. I explained that I was hoping to get a watch to celebrate a special anniversary. I mentioned I had spoken to John Marcello back in March right before the statewide shutdown. Within 24 hrs, John reached out to me directly. What impressed me the most was his focus on learning about me and what it was I was looking to celebrate. He was then able to help find me he perfect watch to match my lifestyle as well as to mark a significant milestone. John kept in touch with me throughout the process and had an appointment set up for me this past wkend when the store opened.
On pick up day, I was met by a sales associate at the front who offered me hand sanitizer and a mask in case I forgot mine. The post Covid 19 shutdown protocols were top notch. John was already waiting for me and had my watch ready and allowed me the opportunity to be the first person to unbox the watch. I have to admit it was pretty cool being the first hands to touch it direct from the factory. I would be remiss to not also compliment Roz Barry for the friendly and professional help she provided to take care of the financial transaction and appraisal while John was sizing my watch.
I could not be happier with my experience and new watch and would recommend John Marcello and Long’s Jewelers without reservations.

First off, the entire staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful from the second you walk in - whether you're just browsing or have something specific in mind. My experience falls into the latter, as I was interested in one watch in particular. While the watch wasn't immediately available, Michael took down my information and promised he would keep me posted once they had it in stock. Every so often, he would reach out to let me know that he hadn't forgotten about my request and that it shouldn't be too much longer before it came in. Well, today is the day and I couldn't be more thrilled - both with the watch and the service that Michael offered from day one.

EDIT: I can finally add to this review to share another very special experience that I had with the Long's team in Braintree - this time with Sue Davidson. A few months back, I met with Sue to talk about the process of designing an engagement ring that I planned on proposing with in the Summer.    Read moreMy wife and I had a great experience at Long's. We're going on our third anniversary but hadn't yet gotten a wedding band to pair with her engagement ring. We stopped in at Long's and met Carole Finney. She listened intently to what we were looking for, made some recommendations, and was happy to show us anything we saw in the case. It was very pleasant and low pressure. My wife narrowed it down to one of the options and we walked out with a custom order for an odd size band. However, an hour later we returned. She was reconsidering another band we had looked at and just wanted to be sure she made the right decision. When we came back, Carole was helping another customer, but Peter Zografos jumped right in to help! We explained the situation, and he was happy to have us take another look. Carole returned to check on us once she was free, and we were impressed by Carole's and Peter's teamwork. Both of them were very helpful and wanted to make sure that we walked away happy, assuring us that we could take the weekend to think about it and phone in changes to the custom order when Long's reopened on Tuesday. After having seen the other ring again, we left feeling confident in our original choice and were looking forward to picking up the ring in 6-8 weeks.
