We picked the wrong night to go because the restaurant was having all types of kitchen and service issues. The family sitting to the left of us were upset that their dinner was placed 25 minutes ago after sitting around waiting for their daughter's bowl of chowder for 20 minutes; their server forgot to place an order for chowder. The family sitting to the right of our table waited for their grandmother's dinner (fish and chips) for over 45 minutes. Everyone had their entrées served except for hers. Brought my mother here for seafood last night. We had a long day and were starving so we hit up LSF for the first time. We were thoroughly disappointed from food to service. We ordered a cup of clam chowder and calamari to start. We were informed about their annual chowder day, therefore ordered 2 bowls of chowder and it was served lukewarm. On a cold snowy night like last night, it would've been nice to have been served a warm bowl of chowder; the soups were definitely sitting under the heat lamp for a while. Once our entrées were brought out and we were ready to dig in, I noticed the chicken to my order looked pink. I cut it up and it was undercooked. We had asked for our other entrée to be wrapped up to-go and another staff member who was passing by tried to scare our server and spilled the sauce on my baby stroller. A few additional things to note: Bread wasn't offered Server was so inundated that he couldn't refill our water and had to flag down a food runner. Menus, appetizer plates, soup bowls, and utensils used from the starter course was left piling up. We moved them over to one side of the table to make space. Our check came out to over $100 for 2 non-drinking adults and left a generous tip. Our server tried, but it's evident that the staff is lacking adequate training and consistency. I did not see any managers running the floor tonight to assist their team. I'm giving this place 1 star because our server tried to recover the undercooked chicken by ordering another salad to-go..and..forgot the dressing to my salad.

Ok let be as honest as I can an also be thorough!!!! I didn't know that they had new ownership at legals. Although the service was fantastic management and the waitress was very professional very polite definitely 5 stars!!! But through new management or ownership excuse me new ownership they destroyed legals in my opinion it was always a little expensive but worth every penny of it you knew what to get what you were getting when you came and they have not created that with new ownership. Honestly the food maybe it 2 stars 3 at best. The lobster was decent but just the whole meal in itself the ambiance the food I'd rather go to red lobster and red lobster has never had anything on legal seat they was apples at oranges. Whatever happened to legal's they're just I won't go again ever.. And before today my whole life that was always a very nice place to cook for seafood got the right army on right prices it was always a good holiday place to eat dinner I would never ever ever go back in there and expect what I used to get I'm not saying the compared to what it was it's horrible I'm just saying that compared to what it was it's horrible I blessed him good luck. It's definitely They should change the name they don't do legal seafood any Justice new ownership!! They truelly don't come close to what they once was! Disappointing disappointing disappointing. I guess if someone doesn't know what a real seafood restaurant is the right ambience they may not know no better but if you've been other places you know better.🙄🙄🙄🙄

Awesome selection of various seafood around this area! They offer indoor and outdoor seating with pets allowed inside or out! The fisherman's platter was very fresh and really enjoyed the squid rings especially in that soy sauce! They have a couple of japanese dishes including ramen and sushi, however on my visit they didnt seem to be available which was unfortunate... Our server was really friendly and had a australian accent if I remember, but she was fun and took our order easily and even made drink recommendations! I tried out their clam chowder which was amazing and the tuna burger. The tuna burger unfortunately crumbled away under the massive amounts of water from the lettuce and tomatoes and special sauce (probably based on thousand island) but still had tons of flavor to it. The fries were still pretty good! I also loved the watermelon + vodka which was easy to drink. Overall its more pricey than other seafood resturants i tried recently but they also have other locations i saw including multiple in airports and other states but the service and food live up to that standard well.

This is NOT the best Legal’s to go to. Especially if you have a large group. They just have too much turnover with staff and overwhelmed servers to give you the service that is famed with the brand. A lot of young inexperienced hosts, a lot of mistakes even with servers who have been there longer. They tend to have a gruff table manner because of the high volume of customers due to the popular mall traffic. I grew up with Legals, and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten watered down clam chowder and had to send it back. Although they corrected it, It’s just annoying to have to worry each time “will they get it right”. I keep going back because it’s convenient to meet people there and it’s the only place that has fish for miles... but I say a little prayer, because one time I was there for 3 hours because they were short staffed and you just never know... Another time I ordered a seafood casserole and it had no lobster. I asked for them to please bring some showed the server there was none, she got a Manager and he verified. Then when she brought it, she didn’t warn me the dish had been in the oven , so when I went to pick it up to pour the contents onto my casserole, I got severely burned on my thumb and my index finger. You know what happened? The manager brought me burn cream and offered me a free dessert. Since I couldn’t eat anymore, he finally took off my meal from the bill. He didn’t check in with me and the sever brought my daughter the dessert and got upset when we said we’d take it home. So my daughter ate the truffles there... meanwhile I kept putting my fingers in the ice water I was supposed to be drinking to make sure my skin didn’t bubble up. They were just too busy to really show any empathy. I was treating 2 other people to dinner so I only tipped her $20. But the next time I saw her she didn’t even remember me, my daughter reminded her and she said “ oh people come here twice a year and expect me to remember them, I’m sorry I don’t remember everyone “. so I tipped her $5. Just rude. I have been slowing down my frequency of visits, because of the poor service but she is not there every time I’m there, and I took that as a direct insult. She should be working at Friday’s with the quality of her service. She (and others) rushes you through your order not listening, with arrogance, and get upset when she forgets the details of something as if you’re the one asking for too much... and clearly, even in an emergency, the management will not be available... so again, In my opinion, this is just not the best Legal’s...

The food selection was horrible, felt they should have offered the evening menu so selection was not up to par. My worse encounter evah. I would never recommend or go to this legal seafood. The waitress lack common sense there was a special menu I believe it said test selection. I asked her to substitute the kale for a salad she said they couldn't which was crazy and without asking if I had a allergy or liked it at all. Only way I got the salad my daughter friend didn't want the cole slaw so she substitute that for my salad instead. Considering I did get the kale there was not a discount for my meal. In addition my daughter dislike the salmon bacon and was horrified. I believe waitress name was Sandra she acted as if she didn't want to be bothered with us and my daughter friend didn't like her food as well. The only thing that looked delightful was my grandson starch on top of starch kids meal with mac and cheese and french fries. I went in tip her $10 dollars 💵 but the old me would have left a penny to let her know when working with customers you should show a more positive effort in accommodating them and making them happy. I know having worked in this field years ago that's how they make their living. I got the salmon well done which had overall burnt pistachios on top and I asked if farro was good she said yes it was totally lousy she substitute it with rice pilaf. Overall she mentioned she was Austria because I liked her accent and asked where she was from. She needs to work much harder working with customers and in addition could have had the manager to accommodate us because neither she or legals seafood give us a discount or free food. She herself could have taken off a meal. This legal seafood is horrific and it should be closed in addition to bad service and food their was little black bugs we had to keep swatting at while we ate that's a violation within itself. People deal with bugs if they choose to sit outside of establishment not inside. Just don't go unless you getting a kids meal for adults. Never ever in my life go to Copley location never bugs and wait staff treat you with respect and selection of food is much better, never had burnt seafood or told no on a particular menu always accommodated at...
