The store manager Jaz should be fired. Believe the other reviews that say her customer service is horrible and that she’s incredibly rude. Frankly, it’s silly how simple of an issue it was and with the way she handled something this minor I can only imagine how atrociously she’s handled bigger problems.
My wife and I went into the store and purchased an Xbox One game. When we got home (a couple hours later) we discovered the game we were given was the wrong one, instead we had been given an Xbox Series X edition which isn’t compatible with our console. To be clear the case we selected said Xbox One but the disc we were given said Xbox Series X so this was their mistake. Not really a big deal in my opinion we went back to exchange the disc for the correct one. Once we got there, Alex (who was great, 5 stars BTW) was assisting us with the exchange, only to discover they did not have the correct edition. Okay, no problem, just give us a refund. He starts to process that, but when he tells me the total we’ll get back, I ask what about the points? He was uncertain and didn’t think those would be refunded and was apologetic. I asked if I could be given a store credit in its place since it was their fault, that they sold me a game they didn’t have. He turned to ask a lady for assistance (who later I found out was Jaz the store manager). Who told him no flat out that points couldn’t be refunded. I interjected and asked why that was since it was their mistake giving me a game that was incorrect and they didn’t have the correct one. She held up a finger to me (a hush gesture) and asked “wait what happened?” He explained the situation and she then again said no, there was nothing that could be done. I asked how was that fair, since it was their mistake. She again addressed Alex (not me even though I was talking to her) and said they could try calling the customer service number and we might get a 5000 inconvenience credit on the points (not the full amount of points that we spent) or we could roll it over to another purchase. We didn’t want a different game, there was a reason we bought the game we originally did. So I opted to call the customer service and to see if they could help. They did and they refunded all the points, the lady on the phone even laughed when I told her what the store manager had said because she originally suggested the store manager could remedy it. During this whole phone call that I placed inside the store, Jaz was making comments to Alex saying things such as “the customer service won’t do anything,” and “even corporate doesn’t care.” After the phone call I went back to Alex and asked him to process the refund for the monetary portion since I had gotten my points back. Afterwards I asked him for her name so I could report her. I have since called customer service back and asked to be contacted by her district manager. I returned it june 17, 2023 coz the oculus is not working properly. I repurchased the insurance for $49.99 and the cashier told me that i have another yr for the insurance plan just incase oculus will not work properly. Today, I went there and this ugly lady in the counter with an ugly attitude told me that the serial number doesnt match the serial from the box, she is arguing instead of helping. With my frustrations she told me that I can leave the store coz she will not do anything about my return! Very RUDE! My question with her, why i have this item with different serial number? Is it my fault? I asked her to look at the camera June 17,2023 and watched the footage so she can figure out what happen and why i have this item? She told me in a rude way, WE ONLY RECORD 30 DAYS! Now tell me, what kind if business is this? You gave your customer wrong item?Did you explain to me about serial number when I bought it? Read moreThis place is a smoothly run machine. I just went for the release of Borderlands 3. I prepaid came back and was ushered through line and handed my copy. I have been going here for 8 to 9 years. The staff has changed obviously but they are professional and friendly. They have a large merchandise and collectible section. The only downside is parking is at times difficult. This is if course not their fault.
Now on to pro tips. Pro tip 1: Do not go here after Christmas the mob of bored parents and anxious kids makes it awful. Black Friday is the same. Is that 20$ game on sale worth 30 min in line? You decide. Pro tip 2: There is usually a wait to check out. Experience tells me there will always be a customer doing something difficult. From a guy that walks up on Black Friday with 61 games he wants to turn in, to a woman turning in her used phone for credit. Pro tip 3: your going to get next to nothing for your used game. We all know this and it is not their fault. It is a corporate policy. Pro tip 4: If you preorder a game. They will call you and let you know a few days before. Go in earlier that day and pay.
