Tijuana Flats — Restaurant in Brandon

For yelp elite experience @ Tijuana Flats I registered with my wife. So for Monday night dinner we went to Tijuana Flats. Tijuana Flats was around 20 minutes from our place. When we entered the restaurant we were happy seeing how they have decorated the restaurant plus the sauce booth that they have created with different flavors of sauces. We directly went to place our order. With Yelp experience we had an appetizer and flautas free. So we first ordered the appetizer which was chips and guacamole and for flautas we ordered Chicken Flautas. Along with them we also ordered Shrimp bowl as well as Shrimp Tacos. We sat on our table and soon we got our appetizer which was Chips and Guacamole. Guacamole was fresh and tasty with an amazing taste. Chips were okay. It seemed like chips have been kept in open from a long time. Then soon we got our food order which included Chicken Flautas, Shrimp bowl and shrimp tacos. First we had Chicken Flautas. Chicken Flautas was crispy and hot and had an amazing taste. Then we had shrimp tacos. The tacos were big in size and the portion was also good. We loved the tacos. Bought a shrimp bowl the bowl barely had shrimp. I requested to PAY for extra shrimp a worker took my card after giving me a price of about four dollars and said they can not sell me extra shrimp as a side. I said well can I order a shrimp taco I'll just take them off of it. The manager then attempted to sell me a taco at full price when the menu states add a taco to any entree for $3.39. I had an entree but it was conveniently not included in that promo the menu just doesn't state that. I ended up just paying for a side of blackened chicken to add to my bowl so I wouldn't just be eating a $12 bowl of rice. Which by the way the manager in front of me couldn't even tell me the cost of that. How are you a manager that doesn't know your prices.. She had to go check....smh. also when it came out it was very dry, flavorless, and definitelynot a blacked chicken. The queso tasted like cheap melted sandwich cheese my fiancée order a beef burrito the meat was flavorless. Any other flats I ever went to has seasoned chips theirs did not. The manager blamed everything on her corporate. If I hadn't eaten at other flats I would cross the entire chain off but I know it was just this one and I will never return....

Change to one star because of the following might want to talk to your staff about respecting customers

Currently here was attempting to pick up my food and while I was waiting with an unlit cigarette in my hand I was thrown out of the restaurant. To clarify the girl came from the farthest back of the building possible to inform me that quote it stinks. While this may be her opinion I defer to the idea that her attitude is actually what was the stink in the building as her response to me was a sneer and whatever. Let it be known that smokers are not welcome here regardless if your tobacco is lit or not and despite the fact that they have an outdoor patio I will be calling chiron Monday. Ask for the manager on duty and never received one to speak with so I'll just deal with it Monday. The girl was short with brown hair light skin had a green shirt and a stank attitude. Guess I'll be going back to University from now on. Depends on how the conversation with mr. Williams goes.
