This store is not close to me, but it is definitely worth the occasional visit so I occasionally drive all the way out to Brandon to go to this location. There are some items they just have a better selection and better pricing than JCPenney or other stores do. There are some items that are ridiculously expensive, but I guess that is almost everywhere these days and I do find plenty of reasonably priced items and sometimes even exceptionally good prices on certain things I like, and with clothing in particular there are some good selections at very good prices. They also tend to have some pretty good sales, better than most stores do, and that's usually when I decide it's time to make another drive out to Brandon to visit this Kohl's. There are only a few department stores that I routinely and regularly pay a visit to, and this is one of them. If you have not shopped at a Kohl's or this location before and it is not too far away I advise that it would be well worth your time for you to check out this Kohl's. If you do I bet you will routinely go back again and see why it's on my short list of department stores to just drop into occasionally just to check things out or if I'm in need of some shirts slacks or other various items. They also have a better than usual selection of kitchen wares and at competitive prices, like I find they are priced just as affordably as Amazon only you have a place to return things to if there's any sort of problem, and they also have a better return policy and window then most stores do these days. Like Macy's only gives you something like 30 days to return things and that's it, well Kohl's will do a lot better than that, I think it's something like 3 months. Like most places you have to look around a bit to find an associate when you need help with something, but always every time I find an associate to help me they are the most cheerful and helpful that can be found, and that is one notable thing that is exceptionally good about Kohl's: They really do customer service right, which is next to nobody else these days. Shop at Kohl's; you will be glad it is on your list of places you know about and are...
Read moreI love Kohls and usually order online;the other day I had to come in in person to pickup my order.I decided to shop since I was there-found a few dresses and a mug-they have self checkout at the Brandon location and I was navigating scanning and trying to put the dresses on hangers in the bag so I could hang then in the car on the way home. Some alarm sounded at the front and a woman was looking around;she asked me if I had anything on my clothing,I said no Im just scanning. I continued scanning..she was staring me down, which I have no idea why, maybe because I had just worked out and had workout clothes and no makeup on. The alarm went off again and she looks at me again..and Im looking at her,she says do you need help? Starts pawing through my things without permission;I said no I didn't ask you for help. Then I couldn't find my card,I explain this to this worker, she grabs my things without my permission and throws them on a checkout counter, pulling ny clothes out roughly;she balls up the bags and I say I'll take them to reuse them, to which she replies "I can't hang you empty bags without merchandise in them, store policy". Her level of rudeness and hovering had me fuming-asked the checker what he name was, said it was the Assistant Manager,Michelle. I called after I got home to leave a message for the manager, that was 4 days ago;called again today, still.no call from the manager-never have I been treated so rudely at a store that I frequent and spend so much money at.I don't recommend the Brandon Kohls in person,I'll just stick to online;also the assistant manager damaged my mug,had to throw it away--to the manager, shame on you for not returning a customer call, and to Michelle, you're extremely rude, and work on your customer service skills.
I am updating my review to say I did speak to the new manager Lynn, and she was nothing short of AMAZING;listened to me and my concerns,so,thank you Lynn and I'll have to stop by and say hi to...
Read moreGood customer service, but the store was a mess. The men's athletic section was very picked over, only a few name brand t-shirts (Nike, Adidas, under Armour, etc)...when I say a few I mean like 6 t-shirts out of all those brands!!! And only in sizes small and XXXL...very low in stock of almost everything in the men's athletic section. Store was quite a mess, half the stuff was not in the spots it should of been making it hard to shop (I felt like I was in a very bad Marshall's picking through 🤣) . You can't use the coupons kohls offers on anything name brand, which is HORRIBLE in my eyes, why have a sale on VERY FEW things you sell that isn't name brand?? The stuff that was name brand weren't on sale as stated, for example I wanted a few Adidas pants that said 25% off, but when I got to register it wasn't on sale, cashier said the sign says in small print "select items"!! What?! So how do you even know what those select items are when the sign above them says 25% off but isn't 25% off ? How do you know what these "select items" are? Which tells me that they just want you to get to the register thinking it's on sale and then buy it anyway without the sale in the end. I am probably not shopping at kohls anymore mostly over the "tricky sales" and not being able to use coupons on 90% of the stuff in the store. Other than that I gave them 3 stars because the girls junior section had a good selection and was organized along with the men's...
