Caron's Corner — Local services in Branford

Caron's Corner is a great neighborhood staple. Pro's: excellent prepared foods selection, good selection of beer, diverse selection of produce, some surprising niche items throughout, sandwich counter at deli. Con's: prices on all items are steeper than any other chain grocery store (to be expected given it is a local business, but some prices are upwards of double than what you're used to,) and the almost non-existent selection of organic/grass-fed meats (most meat is imported.) Several days ago I shopped at this HORRIBLE store. I've lived in the Branford area for 10 years and I've never experienced such poor customer service. A few days ago, I noticed that my deli meat had already gone bad, so I brought it back to the store with my receipt to return it. I spoke with one of the managers, Dave, and he was extremely rude to me. He told me he would not take the meat back, or even give me a store credit. He even had the nerve to accuse me of swapping out his meat with meat from another store!!!!!! This store has now forever lost my business due to Dave and the way he treats...

I’m a loyal Caron’s Corner customer and still plan on shopping here. The reason I’m leaving a 3 star review is because the look and charm of the place has drastically gone down in the past year.

There are two bright neon “open” lights that make the place look like a gas station The wooden pillars outside all are different shades of green. The dark green color that was there before was nostalgic and made the place look great.

Caron’s corner, I hope you see this and bring back the charm of our small town...
