HALLOCK'S — Local services in Branford

Still waiting on Hallocks to send us a new machine to rectify this issue. The brand new machine we purchased from them should not have to be repaired and we should not have to be stuck with it.

Terrible customer service. The woman who answers your service calls, Dottie, is rude, short on the phone, and does not listen to your concerns. The company gives you the run around when you have a problem with your machine and expects you to keep track of the service contractors when they don't show up to their calls. We purchased a brand new LG washing machine that makes loud metal on metal noises throughout the entire cycle, the drum is off center and bangs so loud it vibrates the first floor rooms of the house each time a cycle switches, and Hallocks refuses to rectify the situation of giving us a faulty machine by replacing it with a properly functioning new machine and instead keeps sending people out claiming the machine isn't level when we've put a level on it and it's clearly leveled, they've sent their people out once already and said it's leveled and now damage is already being done to the machine from having the drum bang around all over the inside. The machine is now over 10 days old and has been nothing but a mess since the first night with an off centered drum and they still won't replace it with a properly functioning one. The company doesnt stand behind its products, doesn't care about its customers, and causes intense frustration. Don't buy from them. Buy locally, get better service, pay a little more, and have...

I just bought an oven from Hallock's in branford; Why did I go there even though I could have gone to the two big box stores in my hometown? Because I knew I would get honesty, integrity, and great service. I hate to say it, but over the past 3 years I have found that the help at many of the other big store suppliers was incredibly lacking. I didn't want to take a chance on ordering from one of those big box stores in my town for this very reason. It takes so much stress off of you when you know you can go to someone who will tell you the truth, work very hard for you, and give you even better deals that you would find at some of the big box stores. This is absolutely true for Hallock's in Branford. Bill Baher was a wonderful help to me....I was under the gun, needed a stove quickly, and also needed to make sure the wiring was correct in my home, as it was a much older condo. He did just that, and I will have my stove delivered, brought up to my second floor condo and installed in two business days. All of this with a very competitive price against the big box suppliers on all fronts. From where I live, it's just a quick jump over the New Haven bridge..and less than a minute to the off exit. They are literally 5 seconds from there. Peace of mind is gold to me. You can not go wrong with this family...

My husband and I visited Hallocks in Branford looking for a double oven. We walked past the service desk with multiple employees standing around doing busy work but didn’t appear to be overly busy. No one acknowledge us walking in but that was fine, we found the area with the double ovens. We looked at the 4 or so on display but had further questions- we stood there for quite awhile googling the models, but wanted to speak to an employee. We walked over to the desk in hopes to receive some assistance- one of the employees was assisting a couple in front of us on the computer however there were 2 other men standing behind the desk playing with cable wires, with a 3 rd woman not sure if she was an employee or not as she was wearing her purse around her neck and kept filling her mouth with what appeared to be holiday cookies. Not one employee acknowledged us and we stood there for over 10 minutes. I loudly said to my husband would you like to leave it appears as though no one is available to help us. Still no one spoke a word to us, including the obvious oh I’m sorry can I help you? Nothing!!! as we walked out I again said goodness I’m assuming we are invisible! My husband and I walked out - and we will never return!!! That’s really too bad. Hallocks has lost...
