fourth visit prime rib sandwich was terrible. The hoagie roll is not complimentary to the sandwich. The brioche roll was the best. the sandwich included very large woody, tough mushrooms!!! Overall dissapointed!

Third visit our server was terrible, he kept focusing his attention on a table of 4 men. We were a table pf two. Our order was wrong our bill was wrong! A half hour dinner took an hour and a half! Hopefully next time will be better.

Food was fabulous. Prime rib sandwich best ever!! Server less than enthusiastic. Needed to pay more attention to customer.

We sat at table for two which was much toooo small! Tables were two close together. Could not get out to go to the restroom without neighbor moving their table! Too many tables too small an area! Could not carry on conversation without neighbor listening and joining in. Loved the food the atmosphere total disappointment. Noisy, bad acoustics!!!

People sitting behind us in bar area were yelling to each other to be heard.

Because tables to close a gentlemen gave a rude comment to a mom with young very well behaved child sitting on our other side. Felt very bad for mom her son was a million times better behaved than the old coot who does not like children.

Will try steakhouse next, Hope...

Came to Branford visiting the in-laws and booked a reservation at Lockworks for a Saturday evening at 6:30pm. The restaurant was busy but we got seated immediately. Shout out to our server, Sebastian, who was incredibly polite and attentive (thanks Sebastian!)

We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip for an appetizer. Tasted like it was made in-house with fresh vegetables served with pretzel bites, highly recommend. For entrees, we ordered the fish tacos, Korean bbq salmon, bucatini bolognese and roasted chicken. Every entree was great and each had a little “something” that elevated the dish and made it special. I had the roasted chicken and was blown away at how well the chicken was prepared: perfectly cooked with a crispy skin and still juicy. Lastly to top off the great meal, we ordered the chocolate cake for two. Cake had a dense crumb with a fudgy icing, a great combination for chocolate lovers.

If you’re in the area, I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Great for a date or family dinner. The bar was filling up too when we were heading out, seems like a great spot in Branford! We will be dining at Lockworks again...

OMG!! BEST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE EVER...Joe, the Partner Team's son is doing an EXCELLENT job making THIS the BEST VALUE and BEST TIME EVER in Branford, CT!! Webster is there daily managing the restaurant, and Michael, Nick, Juan, Nicole, and Douglas at the Bar are doing a KILLER JOB serving the BEST DRINKS POSSIBLE for ANYONE'S thrist. Food is outstanding, and guess what?! THEY'RE OPEN ALMOST ALWAYS (7 days a week!) Dancing on Friday/Saturday nights...Lovely Patio dining...Indoor seating at Lockworks Tavern, or their Sister Restaraunt: Salt Brick Prime, next door (1212 Main Street, Branford, CT 06405). I LOVE THIS PLACE, it's the ONE PLACE where EVERYONE KNOWS your name, and YOU'RE TREATED LIKE ROYALTY!!!!!!!! They even have benches outdoors for resting after dancing, or smoking a cigarette/vaping without bothering anyone. SHOUT OUT TO: Christina, Destiny, Eduardo and the lovely hostesses!! (NOW, Webster and Joe...a note to you: KEEP THOSE PHONE LINES OPEN FOR RESERVATIONS AND ORDERS, YOU NEVER KNOW WHO MIGHT BE CALLING!!) LOL. ...

Overall we enjoyed it. Service still has a few kinks to work out - we were told there were no tables, despite 3/4 of the restaurant being visibly empty and reservations available on OpenTable (we checked on our phone). They said they were only taking reservations, no walk-ins. Instead, we ate at the bar, which was fine, but slow. Good people, friendly, just not fast-paced enough for us. It's an upscale place - don't let the word Tavern fool you. (I had a t-shirt on, and was out of place in it. Managers in suits, etc.) The food was very good, but portions are also upscale (read: fairly small). And the food is "fancy" - if you're not at least somewhat adventurous, check the menu before heading there. Pictured is the halibut in leek sauce (very tasty but small for me), the half-chicken (great flavor), and the trout dip appetizer (thought it was OK, maybe just not my thing?). I would return, but it's definitely more pricey and upscale than "tavern" might suggest. 🤷 Probably will be a popular drinks hangout.

Came here with my family for a Saturday lunch and had an amazing experience. Interior was super trendy yet comfortable with high top and regular table options outside of the bar. They give you fresh popped buttery popcorn to snack on while you wait. I was a bit weary of some of the food prices but everything was well worth the money. The jumbo shrimps were huge and the flavors were very balanced and delicious. We had dirty martinis with bleu cheese stuffed olives which not everyone offers. Dessert was 10/10 and the chef is very talented. The cappuccino gelatin came in a chocolate made mug shaped cup and I had the s’mores pot de creme which came in a smoked dome. The flavors brought me right to the campfire. Ashley took amazing care of us I definitely will return.

Great food, drinks and service. I highly recommend the chickpea French fries, the Korean bbq wings, and street corn ribs for apps. Chickpea fries come with a yummy harissa mayo. Korean wings are crispy, saucy, spicy and cooked just right. Streetcorn ribs are the perfect snack topped with cojita and spices. For mains, you have to go with a steak from the Saltbrick steakhouse side. Their patent dry-aged steak leaves you satisfied and full but still craving more. For a refreshing drink I recommend the watermelon mule.
