Shoreline Prime Meats & Deli — Local services in Branford

First and foremost, the sandwiches are very good. However, I am all about customer service. If I was the owner of this business I would be very concerned. I had gone here a few days ago and a gentleman before me in line was purchasing 2 sandwiches, then he wanted something else from the cold salad section and the lady was very rude to him telling him to hold on because she couldn’t do 2 things at once after she was making the price sticker for HIS sandwich. We went in there tonight, ordered two sandwiches (19 and change which is a little crazy). We walked around to wait for the sandwiches to be made. During this time we had to be a witness of a few things. We see an employee cutting carrots and eating them, a random girl came in and spoke to the workers about her “5 tickets to a concert” who obviously worked there, but honestly, no customer cares about your business please just make our sandwiches. And finally, 2 workers came out to the floor and were discussing the fact that 2 fruit salads arrived, one with grapes and one without and how they should boost up the price of the one with 5 grapes... really?? After about 25 minutes, we finally received our two cold Italian sandwiches. (Note to self, order in advance, for cold sandwiches or not if you don’t want to wait a ridiculous time for a grinder). The only decent part about the purchace was the poor kid at the cash register who obviously noticed how unprofessional the staff was there and was utterly embarrassed. I don’t know what is going on at this place, a few years ago, about a year after this place opened under a different name, I was loving the customer service . We passed by here on route to Brandford and decided to stop in for some sandwiches as we were famished. Staff seemed distracted and annoyed and not too friendly, particularly when asked if the roast beef was made in house. It's not, which is surprising to me given that the butcher section seemed plentiful and an in-house option would be way more desirable than Boars Head. The sandwhich selection was pretty decent and we decided on the Italian and the in house made meatball sandwich. Both were disappointing. The Italian had so little meat on it! The meatballs were meatloaf like slices and while the sauce was pretty good, the roll had not been toasted or grilled so it was a soggy mess. There are some tables and chairs inside to eat, which we did. Lots of meats in freezer section in a jumbled mess that is hard to tell what is what. They also have some produce available, sodas, chips, premade salads and more, but all items seemed quite pricey. They do olive oil refills here as well, but the staff I asked all said they did not use olive oil or know if this brand was good. Clean restroom and plenty of parking. I don't see...

I couldn’t ask for a more fantastic butcher shop then shoreline prime in Branford CT.. First the service is fantastic the meats are all delicious and the butchers will always advise you with your questions. There cooked foods are to die for and the salad are all freshly made . You really pay for what you get. The place is immaculate from the butchers deli fast food sandwiches subs to the check out all wonderful accommodating staff.
