I came here yesterday to get an iPad pencil for my iPad. It’s an older iPad the 3rd generation. So the man working was very informative, professional, fair, honest, and polite. When I came here he had 2 opinions the Apple Pencil generation 1 and generation 2. Both were priced extremely fair so I was going to grab the newer model until he asked me what iPad I had then he told me to go with the older one because it wasn’t compatible and I didn’t know that I would have spent hours trying to figure out why it didn’t work. I went on Facebook market place where I found an Apple Pencil 1st generation that was used for $75 and after looking at the store priced ones I decided to get that but luckily for me the guy never responded so I called these guys up and asked if they had one and they did when I asked how much he told me $40 bucks which is way less than I expected. This is the first time I’ve came to a pawn shop and haven’t been disrespected. Normally I don’t try pawn shops because seeing as I didn’t know the pen wasn’t compatible other pawn shops would have looked at that as an easy target to take advantage of but not here I was treated with respect and extremely happy that he wasn’t in it for a sale but in it for a returning customer. Now that’s what I expect when I go somewhere! That’s the customer service I expect and a pawn shop is the last place I expect to see such great customer service and professionalism. I would highly highly recommend coming here. Even if you don’t purchase anything just come take a look for yourself and you’ll understand why I’m leaving it 5 stars. While I was there someone tried to sell something and he looked it up and was so polite and explained in such a understandable way that it took a minute to process. Never seen that at a pawn shop normally they’ll pay you basically nothing while belittling you but not this time. I guess I’m going to take time to come by more often and see what they have before I hit the main stores. Saved me over 100 bucks buying one brand new, works just as great, so I’m confident in returning in the near future. A big thank you to LOUIE C for such great customer service! You’ve definitely did your job correct instead of that quick money you made a loyal returning customer!...

I went there yesterday it’s upon something prior to that I gave them a call I told him I had a few ladders including wooden ladders and was concerned whether or not they would buy the wooden ladders. First of all I would say the service was really good both on the phone and in person. However when I got there and seem like they didn’t wanna offer really fair prices which was the opposite of what I was told on the phone that they pay the highest. Basically I would let you know it’s like a tag sale mentality you ask a dollar for some thing and they want to give you $.15. The most ironic thing is I kind of felt bad for them and sold my stuff because it seem like they weren’t doing well and business but when I went around the back to turn around I saw a beautiful red Ferrari LOL. I would tell anybody that they should definitely go in again but be Larry of the prices...

There is only one word that comes to mind when I think about Silas Deane Pawn in Branford...AMAZING. Not only are the staff friendly & very knowledgeable, but they are fair.
