I am new to the area and was excited to find a local boutique. I spent over $120 my first time in this store. When I went to put one of the sweaters on the day after purchasing it (I didn't try it on in the store bc I knew I loved it) it had a MOLDY odor. I took the sweater off and it was never worn outside the 2 seconds I had it on in my room. I contacted the boutique the very next morning (not even 48 hours from purchase date) and asked if I could exchange the sweater for something else in the store (I did not ask for a refund) and was basically told "no one else that purchased it had any complaints or made any returns".... ok good for them, I'm sure the product they purchased didn't smell terrible �. I was told this because I took the tag off the sweater (with every intention of wearing and keeping it) however, I still have the receipt and tag. After explaining the sweater smelled like mold, I was simply ignored and no one ever responded. Seems super petty. The woman that was working also came off really aggressive with her sales approach and had some not so nice things to say about the other local boutique in the area (I guess in attempt for me not to give them my business??) Read moreWe walked into the store on Saturday afternoon and for the first few minutes, there was no worker to be found. She suddenly emerged from the back and didn’t even speak or greet us. She continued to follow my sister, my mom, and myself around the store. There were two other women in the store and she never once went over to them or hovered around them while they looked around like she did us. She was within about 3 feet of us then entire time and never once asked how we were doing, if we were looking for anything specific, etc. She made us so uncomfortable that we ended up leaving without hardly looking around and when we said, “Bye, thank you,” she responded with, “See ya.” Not even a smile. Terrible customer service and terrible atmosphere. I’ll never go back. In the future, your store would most likely benefit from a positive attitude, at least a greeting, and a less judgmental look...
Read moreWe live out of town but have family in the area. My wife bought a pair of dressy sandals at Naked South Boutique. After about 8 days my wife noticed a manufacturer defect in these shoes she had never worn. We went back and the very young lady working said they had a 7 day return policy and could do nothing for us. We just wanted to swap them with another pair that was exactly the same. These were still in the box and never worn. The shop could have returned then to the manufacturer with no problem. It's not like my wife had worn them or just didn't like them, she wanted the exact same item, just without the defect. This young lady could have called the shop owner, but did not. Beware when purchasing at some small privately owned shops. Large stores would have gladly made the even exchange. We try to shop local, but Amazon, Macys and others would have been a better choice...
