Called on August 28, 2025 to confirm that the online inventory system was correct and that this location had the dress I wanted in-stock and to verify available size. I gave the associate the sku number. She checked in their system and then placed me on hold for approximately 5 minutes while she physically checked for the item.
She told me they did have the dress. In fact they had 3 of that dress all size S/M. I thanked her and said I was placing a pick up order right away and thanked her again.
Placed the order. A few hours later on August 28 I received an email that my order was ready for pick up. Great! I planned to pick up Saturday morning.
On August 29 I received an email almost exactly 24 hours after having gotten the "good news" that my order was ready for pick up. Except now the email is informing me that they had to cancel the order because the dress I had specifically called about, 2 days prior, to confirm was in stock, was now magically no longer in stock.
How was the order ever completed to begin with 24 hours earlier, if that dress was no longer available? The items must be physically pulled from the floor for online pick up orders to be ready for pick up. Why would an order be ready for pick up and then suddenly that same order cancelled?
It is obvious that an employee wanted that dress. They took the dress for themselves and then cancelled the order 24 hours after I'd already received an email that my order was ready. Extremely unprofessional and pathetic.
I've been a WM customer for 25 years. This is the worst WM experience I've ever encountered. Worst experience with any retailer for that matter.
I am so angry and disappointed I don't feel I can shop here any longer. This experience shows that WM does not value me as a customer, nor as a person....
Read moreIt was my first time visiting it Cost Plus World Market store and my hopes were high while I found some pretty cool things song remembering the days of being a child and some things I wanted to keep her until I grow old the entire store carried a variety of unpleasant smells that must date back to the very late days of somebody's armpit because it smelled like ancient old body odor of every gender. I found a lot of things to be in reasonably priced way too expensive but I found some good finds hidden in it all. You can spend literally hours in this store there is so much to look at. I did not even hesitate or check the food section because of the smells coming from the store it was not very appetizing. Upon checkout I waited in line when there was supposed to be a handicap cashier specifically for wheelchairs however they did not follow the signs that they had and I was in my wheelchair and waiting and when one of the registers was completed instead of even offering to help me or saying hi they left the register and...
Read moreI'm a big fan of this place, though the label "furniture store" is misleading. Do they sell furniture? Yes. Does the average person go for furniture? Clearly not.
A monstrous collection of foreign liquor, beverages, candy, spreads, and savory goods keeps clients coming back. Most prices are fair, given how much is imported, but keep an eye on just how much you load into the cart. :p I especially enjoy the seasonal offerings for fun and unique gifts.
Beware that some goods are available at any supermarket, however, and you'll pay a premium coming here. Salsa and certain chip brands are obvious candidates for purchasing elsewhere.
I would love (but don't expect) the addition of a freezer section for imported ice creams or frozen pastries...
