Lunch with the ladies from my small group 🥗 * Fried Calamari * Avocado Toast 🥑 * Kale and Romaine Caesar Salad * Poke Salad * Cobb Salad * Korean BBQ Cheesesteak The food was delicious! Definitely my go-to in Downtown Brea! Update: Lunch with friends is one of my favorite things to do. Food brings people together on so many different levels. I decided to try something different than my usual go-to items. This caught my eye on their menu… "EVERYTHING-CRUSTED" AHI TUNA : seared rare, shiitake mushrooms, house steak sauce, arugula, white truffle sauce, toasted brioche bun with sweet potato fries. This will definitely satisfy your taste buds! It’s a festival of flavors!! The toasted brioche bun was perfect for this sandwich. Upgrade to their sweet potato fries. So good! You can also get it with lettuce to replace the bun and a house salad instead of fries. They also have a variety of items that are under 700 calories. CHICKEN BOWL: grilled chicken stir-fried sesame brown rice & red quinoa, shiitake mushrooms, snap peas, bok choy, carrots, red onion, baby broccoli, red pepper flakes. It came beautifully plated. You can also get steak instead of chicken. If you’re going for gluten free, you can opt out of the soy sauce but it may make the dish kind of dry so maybe add the balsamic vinaigrette instead.

Never been to this Yard House, but it was pretty great. Wait staff were super friendly and checked up on us frequently. We started off with Miguel's Queso Dip which was delicious, then I got the Double Pepper Jack Burger and my wife got the Maui Pineapple Chicken. The burger was solid, but that Maui Pineapple Chicken.... that was the best thing I've ever had at Yard House. Strongly recommend that dish. The Cheesecake Brulee was also quite good. The best deal is unarguably the IPA Flight for $15 that also includes a full beer of your choice between the flight options. It's easily one of the best deals I've seen. If you even marginally like IPAs, this is absolutely worth it. Not to mention they give you a gift card for one $5 IPA every time you come back (and purchase a food item). It was pretty packed for a Friday night, but they had the Lakers game on, played some good music, and was an overall good vibe. I'd go back to this location.

Yard house is my weekly go to for happy hour! Their happy hour is 3-6pm. Half off apps and $2off drinks. We all know they have tons of beers to choose from but this review is to highlight these delicious strips of joy. If you, your child or your inner child loves a good juicy chicken strip, real chicken, you have to try their strips. Upgrade to garlic or sweet potato fries. Lots of other great options on the 1/2 off menu. Lastly and maybe the most import. SAUCE. Their maple Dijon is so deliciously addicting, I order 2 orders of strips just to have a reason to eat more of this sauce or just take the extra to go. The service has always been prompt and friendly whether sitting at the bar or at a table. Say hello if you visit and see someone with a table full of chicken strips and maple Dijon mustard 😅

Update 3. Took off some stars this time. Might have to shift to another location. The food seems rushed and thus not made properly. The poke nachos had very little sauce, jalapeños bunched in a few areas, and a lot of chips that were topping-less due to the random distribution of items. The margarita pizza mozzarella seemed unmelted, yet the pizza was cooked. Beer came out halfway through the food time due to first choice being out, but second choice taking long to come out. Strangely also not 100% convinced it was actually the right beer. A hazy that while definitely was an ipa, was perfectly clear. Server was apologic, and I likely the issues were by others anyway.

Update 2. Strangely on our latest visit, there was a wait at the start of happy hour. Seemed like it was due to a lack of servers. Once we were seated, the service was good as always. The funny thing this time was the poke nachos had an absolute boatload of jalapenos for the first time ever. I like the heat, but take them off, and was floored by the size of the pile when i was done. Poke nachos were kind of also back to the normal size, but i think the amount of poke was less unfortunately. Not a surprise as i have seen this same issue everywhere due to the cost of the poke.

Update. Don't get me wrong, I still love yard house. They seem to have been hit by the same factor i see at so many restaurants now, shrinkflation. Love poke nachos for happy hour. They still taste the same, great, but they definitely have shrunk like a lot of places. Beer selection is still awesome, so I plan to keep going to happy hour.

I really wish we had one closer to us. Awesome beer, awesome food, awesome ambiance, awesome pricing, you just can't beat it. Their E-club is good also, as you get texts about weekly deals that end up being yet another reason to go their. This location in the brea center is also a nice place to walk around, great easy parking, just avoid the...

Yard house is my favorite restaurant and my fiancé isn’t a big fan but I’ve been wanting to go for a while so he agreed to go for our anniversary. Unfortunately it was the worst experience I’ve ever had at this location. After being sat the server got our orders in within like 15 minutes so that was no problem at all. Our server got switched to another person right after our orders got put in and it took forever to get our drinks refilled. We had been sitting and waiting for a pretty long time for our orders as well. Probably about 45 minutes. I got the salmon and my fiancé got the steak with shrimp. His shrimp was super cold but the rest of his meal was okay. My potatoes had been sitting for so long under the heater that they had formed a hard layer on top and the baby broccoli was so burnt that I had trouble chewing it. We were pretty hungry at that point so my fiancé just ate his meal but I waited for the server and it took her like 10 minutes to come check on us after the food was brought to us. By the time she was able to replace my sides my fiancé was already done with his dinner so I just got a to go box. I hadn’t been back for over a year so I had been looking forward to dinner so I was pretty disappointed in the whole thing. The server was super nice but I was disappointed in the lack of service we had received. I’m not sure if it’s because we are a young couple or what but as a former server I know that was definitely not something that should have happened. Side note: the edamame was...
