I ordered online and was given an estimated pick-up time of 5:21 PM. I arrived early -- around 5:00 PM. The young lady at the entrance informed me that I would be notified when my order was ready. I then sat in the waiting area until approximately 5:30 PM. (The waiting area is at the entrance -- where the young lady was stationed.) At this point, I addressed the young lady -- who was standing in front of me for the previous half hour, greeting guests as they arrived: "Can you tell me how much longer it might be?" The young lady replies that she is the wrong person to ask that question, and proceeds to gesture me towards the rear of the restaurant. I arrive at the rear of the restaurant and notice that there is a pick-up counter for to-go orders. There is no nearby waiting area to be found, so I walk up to the pick- counter and ask another young lady how much longer I can anticipate to wait for my online order. I give her the name on my order, and she informs me that it is ready, and apologizes several times. I assumed she was apologetic because my order wasn't ready when promised. I immediately transported my food back home, a drive which took approximately five minutes. As I began to eat, I realized that everything in my order was cold. As a result, I can't really give an accurate assessment of the taste or quality of the food. Therefore, upon reading my one-star review, you should not assume that their food isn't good. Their food could be excellent. In fact, judging from the large number of positive reviews, I think it's safe to assume that they serve good food on a regular basis. However, lapses like the one I encountered could be a sign of a more general decline, a decline that may be in its very early stages. This could be a temporary phenomenon, caused by management issues, or the result of an unsustainable financial predicament facing the enterprise's backers. In any event, while I don't anticipate returning any time soon, I hope they able are to consider my review in a constructive manner and make some...

Our friends visited Olive Pit Grill Brea few times and recommended to have the brunch here together. It’s a Mediterranean restaurant located in Brea and has another branch in Huntington Beach.
The restaurant is right next to a parking structure and it has the outside dinning area but since the weather was very hot so we decided to sit inside to cool off.
We went in around 3pm on a Friday afternoon and tables were not full yet. We looked at the menu and ordered as follows. Homemade dipping sauce spicy cheese: This is delicious and not spicy at all. Salads village horiatiki is delicious. 2 Kabob Lamb: Fresh but honestly slightly overcooked. Sirloin Steak: my friend said it was not bad. Roasted half chicken: This is what I ordered + 2 side dishes (I chose mushrooms and potatoes). I read someone’s reviews somewhere said that the chicken was too dry, but my order was just great. The roasted potatoes and mushrooms were tasted really delicious. The lamb chops have 5 small lamb chops + 2 side dishes. My friend shared 1 lamb chop with me and it tasted good. 2 cups of iced tea.
The overall meal portion was pretty large and tasted all great. The atmosphere was warm with high ceiling lighting. The space is spacious and comfortable. There is a bartending area, and many people ordered cocktails so I assumed it might be really good.
The waitress was also very attentive and friendly. The price was reasonable and it’s really a chilling place to hang out with friends so I will definitely recommend it.

Read moreI'm often wary when a restaurant moves to a new location and even more so when they try to go bigger, but the Olive Pit nailed it when they moved to their new location on Brea Blvd.
It has snappy, modern decor, tons of seating indoors and out, and their menu is the same great food from their old location with the addition of pizzas. There is truly nothing bad on this menu.
Try the entree plate with two small sides. This time around I had the lamb gyro (three large pieces of lamb), roasted artichoke hearts, and the olive and walnut dip with an unpronounceable name a mile long (ask your server -- they'll know). Incredible!
They have an excellent beer and wine list with a few interesting cocktails available as well. The beerlist has a wide variety of beers from craft breweries, so don't look for more typical beers beyond than the token Bud Light for the non-adventurous.
They've done something pretty smart with this new location in that M-F for lunch you go to the counter to order, then sit where you'd like. Then at dinner and all day and evening on the weekends they have table service. It's a great way to get a quick lunch during the week while having a nice, served dinner on the evenings and weekends.
There's a new, huge parking garage directly behind the restaurant, so you needn't worry about parking the car and walking far. The people are friendly, the place is popular (particularly on weekends), and the staff is great.
