I had an extremely upsetting experience at this Burlington location on August 31 that left me feeling disrespected and completely unheard. I came in to return three unused perfumes that I had purchased just the day before. The clear packaging had been opened, but the price tags were still attached, and the items were untouched. Instead of being treated like a valued customer, I was treated with suspicion as if I had stolen them. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable or accused while trying to return an item, especially at Burlington. I had my receipts and came in fully expecting a routine return. What I experienced instead was unacceptable. When I asked to speak to a manager, the associate, Jaribeth, returned alone and said, “She’ll just say the same thing,” which was not only dismissive but also unprofessional. I had to insist again before someone I believe to be the store manager, Grace, finally came out. Her behavior was shocking she refused to make eye contact, wouldn’t speak directly to me, and told the associate to simply deny the return. She offered no explanation, no empathy, and no further assistance. I even asked for a number to contact someone about the issue, and she walked away without providing anything. I was told I needed to return the items to the original store, even though Burlington is a national chain and should uphold a consistent return policy across all locations. I have returned similar items to other Burlingtons before without any issue. As a front-end manager myself at a large retail company, I was honestly appalled by the lack of professionalism, empathy, and accountability I encountered. No customer should ever be made to feel accused, ignored, or dismissed especially when following proper return procedures. I will not be returning to this Burlington, and I am requesting to be contacted regarding this issue. This experience was not only frustrating it was deeply concerning, and I hope Burlington takes...
Read moreI was really excited to come back and see that they had opened this location. Especially because I was looking to purchase some baby clothes for my newborn nephew. Instead me and my family were met with two different experiences. My father and brothers were treated with respect by a certain employee. They had to use the restroom and they asked for the code to the restroom and were allowed to use it. Now interestingly enough when my mom and I had to use the restroom that same employee denied us access to the restroom. After that experience how can you expect customers to return to your establishment if they are clearly being treated unfairly. We didn’t cause a scene instead we just asked another employee upfront if she could give us access to the restroom. It literally doesn’t cost anything to be kind to...
Read moreI have to give Kudos to the management of Burlington North Brunswick…during the 2024 holidays, I usually avoid going to the store last minute for Xmas shopping, but I was very impressed with the way the manager was handling the shopper influx! I actually give them compliments as my experience was nothing like before! Lines moved at the register, people were cordial and we were able to do last minute holiday shopping without the annoying...
