It seems Golden State can make customers happy when everything goes well. Their salesman mis-ordered one of my 16 windows in October. There is no argument that it was a GS mistake. After several phone calls over several weeks (during which I was offered $200 to buy a replacement $400 window and have it installed) I finally found someone who said they'd "take care of it". It is now the end of July and after a dozen contacts with four different people (not counting warehouse and installers) and three install appointments, I still don't have the replacement window. I just learned it hasn't even been ordered correctly from the factory. If something goes astray, Golden State becomes the Keystone Cops. Within days of delivering materials, they sent a preliminary lien notice on my property so fast, my contractor barely even started my construction job. On top of that, the notice stated $30k of materials was delivered and only $4.5k of materials was delivered. I had to get legal consultation to make sure I'm legally protected. Imagine the stress it's caused and construction barely started. It's not a good look for contractors and Golden State Lumber when they do this. Don't buy on credit from this place.
