Me and My Husband stayed at the Mylo Hotel. We travel for work. We booked on Expedia. We looked at pics and the reviews. We wanted a bathtub. Which they had that came with a kitchen. So we paid extra. We got a room with a shower and a kitchen. The lady at the front desk. She was very nice but miscommunication. She said the gentleman staying in one for the night we can get that room with a kitchen and bathtub for next day after 11am We stayed there for 2 nights We got into town at 2 pm. We tried to check in early. She said check in time, not tell 4 we can pay $30 to check in early. We went got something to eat came back. The next day, we tried to get the room with the kitchen and bathtub. This is the 3rd time trying to find cheap place to stay with bathtub. We don't have time to drive from motel to motel asking for a bathtub. I have a bad back, and sometimes I need to relax in a bathtub. We didn't get the room with the kitchen and bathtub that we paid for. The gentleman that was staying in it. He booked it for the next few nights. We stayed from November 2nd and checked out on November 4th. On Sunday, November 3rd, I didn't shower, and I didn't make any food because we were told we get the other kitchen with a bathtub. I was looking forward to taking a bath. I didn't want to cook in the other room and re clean up or didn't have time because we were supposed to be moved. I booked my work schedule for 2 pm instead of 12 pm. It was after 12 pm. We still haven't gotten a call to move. We mentioned to the lady, and she told us the man staying in that room booked it up to November 6th. So I am not happy. I didn't get my bath for the 3rd time. I look at reviews, I look at pics, and I even call the motels. All I want is to relax and have my wine. My job does not pay for my motel stays. We have to pay out of pocket. So we look for the cheapest we can find. Even tho I hate sleeping in uncomfortable beds. All I want is a bathtub. We book motels almost every weekend at least. And so far, I still haven't been able to get my bathtub. I'm very mad because we paid for it. Also, checkout is at 11am if you want to checkout at 12, it's $30. The lady gave us tell 11:30 for the miscommunication.
Also the parking is not free. For 1 car is $10 if you have 2 cars in our case me and my Husband took 2 cars. It's $20 so if you got 2 cars the price is a total of $30. We have cones to mark our spot that was paid for. People be parking in people's spots and over crowd the line so you can't get your car in. My husband asked the lady about that problem. She said thier car will be towed. Not once did a tow truck come and removed this unpaid parking spot. It's supposed to not be free but people are using the spots as if it's for free. There was no forks in our room we got stuck with 1 knife, 2 spoons, 1 tongs, 1 set of chop sticks, 1 bowl, 2 plates, a cutting board, 1 pot and 1 small frying pan. I brought my big frying pan but it was to big to fit on the burner. They had 2 spatulas. And thats it for cooking utensils. No sponges or anything to clean up with. Had to use a washcloth they did have a dish soap dispenser. Also no shampoo when I asked for some they still gave us condition shampoo. I just wanted shampoo. We never pack any of that stuff because most motels provide it. And with the climate and constantly traveling they explode in the suit cases.
I asked if they can clean the room when we leave which we left before 1pm. They did not come in to clean. There was wet towels in a pile in the bathroom and by the bed so I can keep my bare feet clean. They didn't clean the room. The bed was so hard, my back is killing me from it. This is why I need a bathtub. I'm gonna go insane on the next motel we book and has no bathtub or they lie. I'm gonna start going off on people. It's not right and they shouldn't lie to you.
I hope my next stay at a motel will have a bathtub and a little more comfortable sleep.
We will never stay at the Mylo...
Read moreRead moreI had missed my connecting flight and rather than being housed in an unknown airport motel by the airline, I decided to press my luck and search for a budget hotel via Expedia. I found this property and decided to book it through their website. ||||I figured that given the price this wasn’t what the typical BonVoy property but I was feeling adventurous.||||Upon arrival, you will notice that this location was next an electric substation, which wasn’t a deal breaker.||||Upon check-in, I noticed that this was typical motel structure (two floors with doors facing the parking lot). I went to look for check and the “lobby” door was locked. I was then instructed by the “receptionist” to go through the side window and provide my ID and credit card.||She then proceeded to slide the agreement for me to sign. I noticed that the agreement had me paying an extra $10 for parking in their lot. Now, I had specifically looked for properties that listed Free Parking on their website. This one definitely had Free Parking on their website; in fact it even says so in their Triadvisor site.||||I pointed this out to the receptionist and she said that the website wasn’t correct. I said well I chose this place because it was free parking; she then proceeded to say you are welcome to park on the street. It then dawned on me. They were free parking street parking. The $10 parking really wasn’t a big deal but it was how she handled the discussion. Maybe it was because it was 10pm at night. Maybe she was tired. Maybe I was dreaming.||||She then proceeded to give me room keys (305) and did not give me instructions on how to get there. There were two floors and I was looking for the third. Alas I found it behind the “lobby” doors and upon coming up the stairs there reeked a significant smell of marijuana. ||||Having been in Las Vegas for the last 14 days I was tired of the smell of smoke. I really should have turned around||||Nope. I was going to brave it.||||So I proceeded to enter the room and was greeted with a quaint room that felt very old; like the furniture was old. The lone chair had “leather” seats that showed signs of wear. ||||I then evaluated my life and decided that I my little “adventure” needs to be done with. I went to||My BonVoy app and proceeded to book a room at the Four Points near the airport.||||As I am typing this review at a welcoming restaurant, I am realizing that this is experience (and subsequent review) costed me around $90 (inclusive of the $10 parking fee).||||Needless to say, I...
This place is a complete and total nightmare. Let me tell you all the reasons why,
We called ahead to make sure that someone would be available for a 9PM checkin. When we arrived the office was locked and no one was there. We had to knock loudly and call 3 times before someone finally came out of the back room. They did not unlock the office, instead you have to stand outside in the cold and talk to them through a window with a speaker and drawer for pass documents, payment and other items back and forth. Mind you, this is adam Francisco so it was really cold and uncomfortable. While working with the staff through the window, two sat down not 5 yards away and quite literally started smoking crack. No, not weed. They literally pulled out a crack pipe, drop a white rock into the bowl and hit it with their torch. They required a $100 deposit + a parking fee. Not the end of the world but I had already paid through Expedia so I was a little annoyed they didn’t just incorporate these charges there. When I gave them my credit card they said it declined and I should check for a fraud alert. I never got any alert and never saw an attempted charge to that card. I gave them another credit card but it did not have any numbers written on it - chip or swipe only. He told me that he needed a card with numbers on it because they didn’t have a card reader. Meanwhile, I literally could see a card reader sitting on the counter behind him. He told me it didn’t work when I pointed that out. Then he asked for my debit card. I declined and read him the card number for my other credit card from my phone - he did not like this. I can’t say for sure whether they were running some scam here but I can tell you I am very glad I didn’t use my debit card. The room itself was gross. Sticky laminate floors, rusted out bath tub, grime accumulating at all corners and edges of the room. The outlets were all so worn that my phone charger would not stay plugged in - not a single outlet could hold any of my chargers. That $100 deposit still has not been returned about 3 days after checkout. He assured me it would be returned with 24hrs.
DO NOT stay here. It’s unsafe, gross and the staff...
