There are no signs in refrence to cash back change- not giving it when needed.
3 weeks ago...If you occasionally shop there once a month asking for 5 one dollar bills should not be a problem when cash back is offerered and no signs state no change given. If you ask for cash back they no longer give you a $5 and 5 ones for 10.00 or if 20.00 its a 20.00 bill. Manager wont be curtious, kind our helpful. But instead kurt, rude, abrasive and unhelpful. People who own cars have no comprehension what people go through who do not have cars. When you are disabled and need one dollar bills for meter, san trans bus, muni bus, cab or cab tip, they will not give you 5 one dollar bills even for an exception. I qas told by manager i should go to bank they are not a bank, Don't get cash back here.
Store not busy since pandemic...6 months ago When my phone battery was dead i ask if they would be s or kind ti call me CDab for all groceries i dont have a car- manager called a cab and after 1 hr and 29 minutes waitings gord cab- i went back in and ask if they could call again in the office and manager said no stop bothering them they were not offering customer service to customers.
In conclusion iF you need a bargain food supply & you have to shop here... but it comes at a cost of nice employee's, nice management being here you sacrifice kindness in customer relationships while customer service, is not included in your shopping experience. Rudeness is excelling for your savings on groceries purchase.
Other issues- This Store-a great selection of organic items, great sale prices, but when you go to cashiers? It's a toss up. If you buy alot of bottle drinks or liquid cleaning supplies they throw all sideways. In a bag instead of straight up...many times in past i get leaks in bags poor bagging. I often have to rebag it there at counter or ask to have the cashier or bagger re bag right. Prices often listed so you have to to front to ask price. I have had to go 5 or 7 times each trip because no prices listed. Thus is what to expect and its not an exception for occasional issues but repeated...
Read moreUpdate: I already went in and asked for help and was denied by a careless manager. You gave a convoluted response for a simple pricing issue app vs shelf. Plus you gave no name of the owner or manager in which to speak to, should I speak to the same incompetent or discriminatory manager? I was already promised to return, which I did with no assistance at all. This is still not customer service that is satisfactory as blaming the state or alcohol laws is simply a distraction.
About 2 weeks ago I needed Port wine for a recipe. First I checked the app and then I went to the store and spent over $100 at that time I noticed I was being charged $4 more then what the app said. I asked the manager he asked me for all the details of the app and then said there's nothing he can do. I figured I'd return to speak to another manager because this hasn't happened in the past.
I went back a few days later and saw the price marked down on the shelf to the advertized price $12.99 and talk to a representative who said I needed the paper receipt not the one in the app but they can make the change and usually honor the app pricing.
I returned today and talked again to the same incompetent manager who went through the whole thing and then said there's nothing he can do. Over $4.
I can spend hundreds of dollars here in a month. I asked to speak to the owner and I was told no.
So dear owner your manager I don't know what his name is but he is working today Monday July 21st and he's going to cost you a few hundred dollars until I feel like I want to return.
I've never had this problem before with Grocery Outlet honoring prices until now. I'm not going to give up on Grocery Outlet because I do like the prices and products I'm just going to get them at the other stores.
I find this type of service where they ask for all the information and then say there's nothing they can do when I've proven with screenshots even the moment before I paid for the groceries very disappointing. If your manager cannot fix a $4 problem then either the problem is personal or you have a trust issue with your workers.
If you can't honor your advertized prices then I can't honor supporting your store.
Thank you it's been a fun 12 years until now. I've been with you a lot longer than him. REMEMBER THAT! Now $4 isn't going to...
Read moreThe employees here need extra training or the management needs to hire people with grocery experience. An employee tried to tell me that bottled water was individually sold and not in the case. I told her this water is just regular flavored water like sparkling water but still water. I told her the current price at Safeway is around $3. I then told her I use to work in grocery for years and these bottled waters are never sold individually, especially not for $1.99 each. One case shouldn't cost $12 I told her this is not some special water from Whole Foods. She was like maybe.... I wasn't arguing but kept my cool. Splash Blast water isn't prestigious water for those looking for the finest of water.
The manager didn't know what he was doing either. The same manager where I went there before and he didn't know California CRV was 5cents and 10cents. How did he become a manager, your guess is as good as mine. He finally came back after first checking his hand-held and then checking the shelf. Verified I was actually correct.
No apologies from him and no apologies from her the one that made the mistake. She didn't say thank you or have a good evening. Just a little head nod.
I've been shopping at this store since 2015 faithfully. Nearly every other day. I grew up in Visitation Valley when this store used to be a Mac Frugal's (Big Lots former name) and then later became a statue retailer and showroom. Visitation Valley had been a food desert for years till Grocery Outlet showed up. I'd really have to rethink my relationship with this store from now on.
People check the computer while you're at checkout and check your receipts before you step foot out of that store. To the owner I'm pleading with you to train some of your employees. I've worked retail, understanding bottled water comes in a case and the CA CRV redemption values isn't that difficult.
Management please retrain Liseth, or Liseth find another job the grocery industry just isn't for you. Thank you...
