7 Mile House Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Brisbane

I was torn with how many stars to give as I hate to give a bad rating since the food is AMAZING. Normally this place is worthy of 5 stars. I hate to give this place a bad review. My family loves this place. We have come here for years. We love the owner, Vanessa. But the customer service is inconsistent — I frequent here enough to see the different staff — and Sahrai’s (had a green hair stripe) customer service was lacking. I get it was near closing when we left but that was because we were consistently waiting for her to appear. We waited over 5 minutes before she came from talking with the kitchen staff before taking our drink order. We had to find our own menus since there was not even a QR code near us to scan. Tables that walked in after us got their food before us. She lied and said something we ordered was coming out when it was obvious she hadn’t put it in the system. I get it was closing and they were all busy cleaning up but even after she gave us wet/dirty looking containers for our food, we again had to wait a while before she finally offered a dessert menu or gave us a check. She didn’t look up from the glasses or the beer she was pouring in front of us to notice/care we had stopped eating or had empty glasses.

I wish I was exaggerating, and yes I get I could have spoken up, but I continued to observe her spending her time more focused on the back room, talking with the other employee, and loading dishes/glasses than...

Horrible service . Tried taking my family here and was on my motorcycle. I missed my parking spot so I drove very carefully and slowly on the curb where there was no people present so that I can do a U-turn and take the parking space a Filipino girl comes up to me and states she's the manager and does not except people like me or behavior like that. I then responded. I wasn't intentionally doing it. I just was trying to turn around so that I can get the parking spot. very rudely her response was we don't except that type of behavior and made me feel like it was a very racial thing . What type of manager says we don't except people like that so she decides to get onto the phone and call the owner and come back to me and inform me that I am not welcomed and asked me to leave I did ask to speak to the owner of the restaurant And explain the situation to her and her response was I respect the manager and her decision horrible horrible way to treat people that come to your establishment to spend money and enjoy the day with their family so me my wife and kid had to find another place to go. I definitely do not recommend visiting this place. I would have totally understood if the manager actually came up to me and spoke with respect, but she had zero etiquette on how to treat or talk to people. My girlfriend and I went in for dinner on Saturday night. We had been excited to try 7 Mile House as my girlfriend lives down the street, but found the experience to be underwhelming. We had a strong start as the atmosphere was enjoyable, the staff were nice, and the mocktails (ube and lychee) were delicious. However, the accuracy of my girlfriend's order was less than to be desired. I got the pork adobo, which we both enjoyed, as the pork was tender and the sauce delicious. On the other hand, my girlfriend ordered the patty melt cooked medium and upgraded the fries to garlic fries. When it arrived, the fries were a normal order of plain fries, so we let the staff know, and they sent it back. When we received the melt again, we noticed that the patty was overcooked, and the fries were topped with raw garlic on a pool of oil. Their menu states that the garlic fries are "tossed in lots of sautéed garlic and parsley," but the fries were not tossed, and the garlic wasn't sautéed. We think that since they were not made as garlic fries at the start, the kitchen just dumped the raw garlic on to get it out faster. The first impression of the wrong order and the last impression of our raw garlic breath left us disappointed and a bit nauseous.
