I brought an antique rocker to Joseph Furnari's business on 11/20 and paid him a deposit (50% of total due). He told me it would take a while to complete my piece since he was swamped with work, and at the time it looked like he was. As the months rolled by, I called and visited the business to check on how my piece was progressing. There always seemed to be delays in receiving the upholstery material which is only made in China, Covid related delays in shipping from China, ship being delayed in harbor, containers waiting to be picked up by truckers, blah, blah, blah. Finally in early 2022, good news! The upholstery material was on its way, my chair would be finished in a few months, and Joseph Furnari would deliver the finished piece to my home. (Isn't that nice!!). I went to Crown Upholstery Friday, and was told Joseph Furnari had sold the business. He absconded with my money and there may be others that he deceived as well.
