Dollar General — Local services in Bristol

Every time I go into this dollar General, the employees always say hello. Very kind! Today, I had something very special happen to me in this store. I had a lot of items. While ready to check out there was a man behind me that only had a tin pan. I asked him to go in front of me because he only had one item n I didn't want him to wait. He said no as today is his day of rest and he has nothing to do. I felt bad because I had a lot. As I was ready to pay, the man said to the cashier that he has this..Omg..what? My bill was almost $75.00. It brings tears to my eyes, happy tears that there really are great people out there...Thank you so much sir! I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and New Year! To the sweet woman that I see often in this store, you are such a sweetheart...I feel the love and compassion that comes from your heart! Thank you...

Around 6:00pm this evening. I went to dollar general, to get diapers, cat food and medicine for my wife.

Once I got what I needed, I went to the front, where there was a 3 person wait, with no cashier.

Woman finally arrived, to rush everyone. When she rang me up, I didn't have enough money, so I asked for an item to removed. The second time, it was still too high. So I asked again for any item to be removed.

Cashier got upset, started mouthing off, and giving an attitude. Fed up with her attitude, told her to shut her mouth and went to leave. She proceeded to tell me I'm not allowed back in the store.

Crumby attitude, had she have waited 2 minutes. I would have been paid. It was embarrassing enough to have to cancel items. Then to have her huffing and puffing at me only humiliated me more.

I'd give this a negative 5 stars if I could. She should...

First of all the Pictures that Come up are not that STORE it has a Poor Dumpy Glass Exterior,on Jan 30th 2024 went in and Saw a Manager Short White lady in all Black and a Cashier Light skin Curly Top Bubble jacket, They Both have the Personality of Rocks,and are not very Hospitable,Just nasty Demeanors,I don't go often but if the Job is that hard Go work Somewhere else I know it isn't Glamours but you are still a Representative of that Franchisee ,just miserable people with Hate and Biases when all you ask is a pleasant interaction,If you can't put your issues aside then go get a machine to take you job.The public doesn't deserve this, (Note please don't label the other Employees with this my experience was with these 2)...
