my goodness! i couldnt praise this place enough. i was having such a rough week after my morning coffee had spilled all over my shirt that my late uncle had passed down to me. i loved that shirt so much; and after getting it professionally cleaned i realized it was necessary to get a similar looking shirt to wear when business casual attire is required, and kept my precious uncle’s shirt kept away and displayed safely in my home. and so after having no luck at the nearest retail stores, i stopped here hoping there’d be one just like mine. what an experience! as soon as i stepped in the door, i was greeted with genuine cheer and smiles. seeing my troubles, as soon as i started looking a little confused looking through the racks for a shirt similar to my own, a manager had walked up and asked me if i needed anything. i could tell her tone was sincere and genuinely looking to help me. i think the manager’s name was Ella? she had helped me find a shirt almost exactly like the one my uncle had given me it was uncanny! she even gave me tips on how to clean spills like that if it were to happen on the material of the shirt. what absolute amazing service, i hope she gets the raise that she truly deserves. thank you platos! i will be...
Read moreIf you go to Plato's expect them not to abide by their own policy of purchase. I came in here with listed brands, "in season and trendy", which they turned down. I also tried to sell back some items i had purchased there, had never worn, in great shape, and they would not buy them back. When confronting the staff, nobody would own up to who went through my items. I highlighted to them that they rejected things on their own list, girl stated "she was not going to stand here and argue with me on every item". She also agreed with me when i said it is basically up to whoever the clerk's style is that goes through my bag. This pretty much sums up that this location of Plato's is condescending, rude, and discriminatory, even against their own policies. If you go here, do not attempt to sell items because you will have wasted your time by finding out it's not trendy, or they will just not take it because of whatever mood they're in that day, or based on the clerks sense of fashion, or what they think would look good on their shelves. NOTE: i had high end brands such as judy blue, democracy, American eagle, coach, gap, etc. I have even had Tennessee volunteer gear get turned down 3 weeks prior to...
Read moreI thought the other Plato’s in the Tri Cities were bad, but this one takes the cake. The girls here are absolutely horrible!!! Mocking and bullying a customer simply shouldn’t be accepted. I understand a bunch of high schoolers and college students work there, but being 16 years old, 18, 19, no matter what, is not an excuse to be childish, petty, and downright disrespectful. Management must be horrible too if they allow their employees to act in such ways even after it being called out on numerous google reviews. Not only have I had an awful experience, but I have heard SO many horror stories from others as well. The owls nest in JC will forever be worth the drive, time, & gas, and i will forever make that trip to give them my business!!! Never again will I darken the doors of another Plato’s closet. Management, get your little girls under control, or you’ll for sure continue to lose...
