I think the bad reviews here are false OR the other reviewers have never had good BBQ because let me tell you this place is DELICIOUS. I'm originally from Texas, and I currently live in North Carolina (also frequently visit Tennessee, so I've had all three types of typical BBQ styles). Ordered the Brisket sandwich, because... hello, I'm from Texas. I did an inspection here and at the time of my visit they weren't open for lunch yet, so I ordered my sandwich cold and a side of the BBQ beans. Took my bag of food and ate it in the snow at Winged Deer Park in Johnson City on my way home. The brisket was tender and went super on the soft bun, lots of rich flavor in the bbq beans and could see and taste the little bits of brisket, pulled pork, and spices. They also put in some homemade pickles, which were sliced thin and crunchy just like they're supposed to be. Wish I'd gotten some of the BBQ sauce to take home, because it also added a nice tang to the brisket.

If a true Texan like me can enjoy the brisket sandwhich even when cold you KNOW that when you order it hot in the house that its going to be delicious. 5 stars from me, and I'll definitely stop by whenever I travel up...

We gave them a try in our endless search to find the best local BBQ, and were pleasantly surprised. This is an simple, and somewhat unique, BBQ joint. The pulled pork was as good as we’ve found in the area. The sides were also consistently good. We had the bbq beans, Cole slaw and Brunswick stew, and the Brunswick stew was probably the winner out of the three. It was a nice mix of vegetables and meat, but lighter and fresher tasting than most. It had a very nice seasoning to it and was maybe my favorite Brunswick stew I’ve ever had. The pulled pork was pre-sauced (which I know not everyone likes), but it was not too heavy handed and still let the meat come through. It was well cooked, moist and tender. The Cole slaw reminded me of a good homemade slaw, shredded, not too much dressing, and crisp. Overall, this is a great go-to option for some really good bbq that doesn’t try to be something else, it isn’t bbq fusion, it’s just good...

This place really does hit all 5 stars!

The atmosphere is great out on the screened in porch or in the green house, the little details brings it all together by the fans, decore, in house sauces, the fresh food taste.

They grow most produce on site, all sauces are made from the garden and the bbq is good.

The price versues value for all this goodness is spot on.

I can get at alot but one meal fills me up.

The owner, his son and employees are all nice, hard working and know good customer service but above all being humane people.

I recommend this place to anyone looking for good food that won't make you sick hmm hmm 'fast food ' a place to relax or work while having a meal, or for the festive occasions, the music is also good classic 70s-2000s

My only recommendation would be a drink station or in house beverages.

I'll be back again soon, the dinner for 2...
