Let me lead by stating if it were based on Flavor of food, it would be 5 stars among Fast Food Restaurants in this segment. So starting with a baseline of 5, I'll explain the nitpicks that cumulatively subtracted a star and why I think they will eventually even earn that back.
To start, we waited approximately 25-35 Minutes to get our food and we came straight to the counter with nobody in front of us, which for a fast food restaurant usually spells trouble. And though we had ordered Mac&Cheese and Cajun Rice as sides, both containers were Mashed potatoes and the line had grown too long to wait by this time. These factors would normally mean "instant fail", but the taste of that battered chicken was second to none and had it not been for the inaccuracy of the ordered sides, I would have never been reminded that Popeyes has the best Mashed Potatoes in the Fast Food Segment even if the cups were 1/2 filled.
They're just opening and are obviously acclimating to the pace they will experience in the future and the accuracy that is expected but the effort was there, Once they adjust, I expect their service times and accuracy to improve. To be honest, with that great of taste, I would be returning no matter what, fortunately the front line staff and manager were courteous and hard working so I'll eagerly come back. His name is Jacob and he works at Bristol, Virginia location on Euclid Ave. Jacob is what true customer experience should be when you go for food. Every single time I have went he has been the friendliest, nicest, so caring, overly willing to help. You can tell he takes pride in making sure he provides great customer service and puts a smile on your face without even trying. He is a breath of fresh air, especially since customer service at most places has really become not important to most fast food businesses now days. Jacob really deserves to be recognized for his above and beyond GREAT customer skills. This is the kind of customer service that makes me a returning customer even if it’s not perfect food on a visit. Jacob’s customer skills makes me wanna become a loyal customer to Popeye’s Euclid Ave Bristol, Va. Read moreAbsolutely great chicken, terrible service. I placed an order via the app as I frequently do. Upon arrival I asked to change out a couple items (as I always do). The lady manager, blonde hair, informed me she made the order how I ordered it. I explained the app doesn’t allow for changing of items and I always ask at the counter - it’s never been an issue before. I stated by request again. She lady goes on and on about how I ordered via the app, if there is something wrong with the app I should contact app not her. I asked if she could honor my request, I didn’t mind waiting if need be, or I could be displeased, but would accept the order and be on my way. This manager kept waiving the receipt in my face after I asked her repeatedly to stop stating she was being rude. She changed out my order, said I need to call ahead next time (then why use the app??). I asked if she’d like to give me a refund and I’d leave.
