I purchased a toddler bed on 11/26. I didnât have any qualms about waiting for delivery so when I didnât hear back about a delivery update after a week, I waited an additional week and decided to give the store a call. Upon my first call, I was told the bed had just shipped out and would be there by the following week. Another week came and went with no update so I called again after about a week and a half. I couldnât get ahold of the warehouse manager so left my name and number to follow up, I still heard nothing. I call just before Christmas, figured itâs a busy time of year and they might not have gotten around to me. The woman who picked up was very kind and told me they would call me back . Again, no call. I call right after New Years. I was told that the Warehouse Manager was busy and couldnât provide me with an update on my delivery. I asked when he would be working. They gave me a time and I called again a few days later and left another message. No call back. I call again the same day several hours later and asked to speak to a different manager. This manager let me know that the wrong item was shipped and my correct item is on its way to the warehouse and Iâll have to wait another 7-10 days. Itâs been 6 weeks since I made my purchase and this was the first time someone actually provided me with an update. While I appreciate some concrete information as to why my order is so delayed, Iâm giving a 1 star because of how horrible it was to get communication. I called several times with no call back, no transparency and no communication. Luckily, I am not pressed for this item right now but I canât imagine leaving a client in the dust after paying $1200 for one item. I would rather pay double elsewhere and get better service than save a little bit of money and have to wait two months for my delivery with absolutely no communication until I started to give them a hard time.    Read moreOn November 7th I put a full size bed and a chest on layaway for my daughter as a bday/xmas gift. I put down $750 and I was going to pay off the balance on December 15th which is when the bed would be available! Well a week after I placed the furniture on layaway, I called to make a payment towards the balance and guess what ! THEY SOLD THE CHEST. This was a chest that was on the display floor and was the only one available since the manufacturer stopped making them for whatever reason. I was furious because I had already showed my daughter what I had picked out. Nonetheless I asked for a refund over the phone and I was told that the manager said he will give me a refund but I had to come in. I went in about a week later, the manager was the first person who greeted me upon entering the store and I gave him my receipt and told him I wanted a refund. We walked over to his desk and he pulled up the order on his computer. At this point you would think he would apologize for the error on their end , but nope. No apology whatsoever. In fact, he was trying to explain to me the companyâs policy on how they donât give a refund just a store credit. I said âtryingâ because I politely said âI donât want to hear it. I just want a refundâ. He thought I was being rude.I did not raise my voice at allll. I was just being firm that I wanted a refund and didnât care about the stores policy. The nerve of him selling a chest to someone that was already on layaway AND for not apologizing. Iâm sure he sold it to someone who gave him cash for it.    Read moreI was supposed to have a delivery last Saturday between 12-6. I realized no one called me to confirm. So I called at 11am only to be told that my delivery was not happening because my bedroom set did not leave the warehouse and it will need to be rescheduled. Here it is December 21st 1 week before Christmas and I have sat around for now going on 6 hours waiting for my delivery without anyone calling to update me. Just me having to continue calling them to inquire on my own. This is tye worst experience I've ever had with furniture delivery. I will never shop with Jeru furniture again. How do you give someone a 6 hour window and expect them to wait around on a Saturday patiently. This store could never get another dollar of my hard earned money because clearly my time is not valuable.
I had no idea about the layaway term length because that was never discussed with me. Also if you give someone a date that the item is going to be delivered then do so. Don't tell me about waiting for 6 months for me If I knew I had to pay within 3 months I would have done so or I wouldn't have even put it on layaway. Also the first time my item was supposed to be delivered no one called me to tell me it was not I had to call and ask. And another thing when your drivers are sick have them stay home instead of coming to ppls house coughing all over the place without covering their mouth or using a mask.
