AbuGi Mart — Local services in Broken Arrow

I bought bone in chicken… $3.29 per lb. The package said 3.17 lbs… it felt a little light but I bought it and went home and weighed and it said 2.47 lbs. So I called and the owner tells me that they weigh it before they take off the skin and fat off! I said this is wrong!! What is on the label is what I should be getting! You are allowed to charge me more per pound to take the skin off, sure, but then don’t lie and tell me I am getting 3 lbs of meat and I am not! They are charging more per pound and giving less. He tells me they price it higher per pound but with the skin on it too! Well that is like double charging me twice. It’s cheating. If I buy meat from any grocery store or Walmart what is written on the label is what I am getting! Bone, skin, meat, whatever it is, what is on the package is what I am paying for! This is so wrong! If you feel like raising price per pound that is okay, but then don’t deceive me and put that I am getting 3 lbs of meat and it’s only 2 lbs.

Update: In response to the owners reply. It is not about policy. It is simply illegal and unethical what you are doing. You are giving less quantity than what is stated on package, lying about weight. This is illegal practice and I'll be reporting you to Oklahoma Weights...

They had expired milk drinks, brought it home and noticed it that it was expired, wasn’t expecting it from a new store, went again and got meat , it was terrible, spoke to the owner and he said bring it back next time and we will return it. Went third time got meat again and told them that please make sure it’s good and fresh and they said they have the best meat, well not true, brought it home, it was the worst meat ever, I took it back and they refused to give me my money back. I just left the meat and told them to just keep it, never going back again .

Response to owner reply : I understand it was yogurt drinks, same thing big difference, I was never refunded any money. I was offered to get another drink. I wasn’t refunded back both times for the meat .I ordered the meat first time and I was told that we are very famous for our meat. Just down from Jake's café on 81st and Aspen in BA is a super helpful family owned international mart you should check out. They have a wide variety of fresh veggies, all types of meat, including goat, and soft cheeses. They have an excellent selection of teas, spices and sauses. Everything was clean, reasonably priced and well organized. You do need to call ahead on some meat orders and they'll have it ready for you when you arrive. Don't be afraid to ask questions! The owners are super friendly...
