The Contracting During the contracting process the caterer hounded us for $$, this is when they communicated with us the most. They would contact us constantly demanding payment many weeks prior to the event. Then when we needed questions answered it was very hard getting in contact with them. Also, their prices do not match what is on their website. we constantly were told "no that price is incorrect" when we tried to order something exactly as it was stated on the website. This company also makes the gratuity mandatory in their fee, so they aren't motivated to give good service at all. The deposit is non-refundable, so they trap you into using them with no way out if.

The Food What was delivered was not what was ordered (Blacken chicken was not blackened, it looked like fish and was horribly dry and the breasts were cut in half to try to stretch the food. Green beans had no seasoning, and they brought some weird bowl of seasoning on the side if we want to put seasoning on the food ourselves. WTH? They also brought less than the amount of food ordered). In fact, we did a tasting prior to the event and the food at the event clearly had been cooked by someone else than the caterer. This was bait and switch.

The Staff/Management To make matters worse we hired the chef & her crew to come cater the event and the chef DID NOT SHOW UP. If you can't work our event, then just say that up front so we can find another caterer. The servers also took one of our platters with them and we haven't been able to get it back. There was also not decoration around the food to make it nice to look at. On her website the layout of food is pretty and classy. At our event, they just showed up with pans of food and burners to keep it warm. And the workers were nice but didn't look professional at all and constantly told us they could only give us a small portion of food and we could come back through the line if we were still hungry. Simply De-Lish Catering is a company that is unprofessional and does not provide the excellent quality of food that a client would want. I would not recommend this catering company to any individual, group, organization, company, or institution. My cousin and his dear friends hired Simply De-Lish Catering for their 50th Birthday Party. The gentlemen discussed in detail what they desired for the birthday event and paid in full in advanced. The day of the event, the Chef didn't attend or cook any of the food. Simply De-Lish Catering company changed the menu the day of the event. The food that was provided for the birthday event was horrible and terrible. My cousin and his friends attempted numerous times to contact the Simply De-Lish Catering company to discuss their concerns and complaints. No one from the company responded to the gentlemen. Simply De-Lish Catering ignored all forms of communication with the clients. Tylisha and her team at Simply Delish are absolutely wonderful! They helped our wedding go smoothly and beautifully. They went above and beyond to help provide napkins and additional place settings the day of (which were both oversights on my part). The food was absolutely delicious, we received compliments all night long! The serving staff was so helpful and kind. They helped set out the deserts and serve the cake, which was done beautifully! Additionally, I feel that her prices are very competitive and affordable, especially considering the quality services they provide.
