If you want your prescription filled on time stay far away from this CVS. I’m a cancer patient and have only been using this CVS for about a year. Throughout that time, they have managed to mess up most of my prescriptions. While on chemo, I was supposed to take a stomach drug called Famotidine. My refill for this was called in weeks before I ran out of the first bottle but apparently, that was not enough time for them. After three whole weeks passed and I was down to just one pill, I called to see what was taking so long. They assured me it would be in the next day. It was not. More weeks went by. I finally had to call and ask to speak to someone and they gave me just enough to tide me over. This was almost a month later. Would you like to know when the original prescription finally got filled? It was a month and a half after I finished my chemo. I foolishly kept them as my pharmacy. Yesterday, I had a major surgery and the doctor called in prescription oxycodon for my pain. It wasn’t until they released me from the hospital and I was driven to the pharmacy that I learned they were not only out of Famotidine but since the prescription was delivered online they were unable to transfer it to another store. Last night, I was in terrible pain which also hinders my healing because I was unable to sleep. I again asked to speak to someone in charge. I asked him why this keeps happening and he just shrugged and said “we can’t predict the future”. Well you won’t need a fortune teller to predict that I’ll be switching pharmacies. I suggest that anyone considering using this CVS to try the Walgreens down the street instead. They seem to have a better grasp on...
Read moreNot to make excuses for the people who have negative reviews because many many times I have experienced the long phone wait times and the saying it’s ready when it’s not but this CVS site has a much more fast paced pharmacy work atmosphere and the staff at times looks overwhelmed by the work load. Sometimes there are long lines of people waiting down the aisles and if a customer has a problem with their insurance or the price of the medicine your wait is extended. I have been to many other CVS’s in Delaware Counlty and this one is crazy busy especially since the Rite Aid on Edgmont Ave closed in Chester. This has been ongoing for some time, so much so that the pharmacy now closes for a half hour each day just so the pharmacy staff can get some lunch. I have never experienced rudeness or disrespect from anyone here despite...
Read moreWe have always had great customer service at this CVS, especially at the pharmacy, and that is what the 4 stars are for. BUT recently we have noticed that in addition to the horribly trashy parking lot (I have reported it frequently inside) the store's interior is looking rather shabby and shelves don't seem to be as well stocked as they once were. We are hoping 1) that they are not planning to close this store; and 2) that perhaps they are lightening the shelf load in order to do some major cleaning, replacing carpet, etc. With regard to the parking lot, the trash-strewn area makes it look as though CVS has little regard for the neighborhood or...
